Also, don't control shadowheart when you do the blood sacrifice. Interact with the alter as another character and step aside for her. This gets you a nice bit of approval for each trail. The only exception to this is the self same trail if you don't want to go in with multiple characters

It was a tough battle for me on tactician difficulty, and I barely had any spell slots when the fight begin. Shadow heart came in clutch with her radiant powers, I had her kill 3 of them, and used remove curse to remove the curse after battle.

If I were Sharring it up, I'd totally cheese it. Since the first time around I was actually trying to turn Shady against Shar, I did it legit, which probably made Shar angry, lol. Ended up losing Shady anyway though... never mind. My current parallel playthroughs will fix that (or do the same thing but more deliberately).

If trying to cheat the Leap of Faith trail, be mindful of the difficulty your one. On higher difficulty cheating that one can get you an auto fail depending on the method

1st trial: Potion of invisibility and/or misty step + turn based mode. 2st trial: Send 1 character naked. 3rd: Crusher's ring + longstrider + enhanced leap and you can make it to the other side with just 2 jumps. Don't have to bother with the invisible bridge

With the awful one where you have to walk along the shadow maze, if you right click the platform, your character will auto walk all the way to the end, but make sure you stop right before, and then jump onto it!

Easiest methods I have seen are casting daylight, or have a warlock with devil sight. With devil sight you can actually see the bridge.

@@dallinadams9422 oh wait. I had the blond of Leander (or whatever it is called) on Shadowheart... So the bridge is normally fully invisible? I just clicked on the other side and finished it kinda thinking that the "challange" was bugged. I mean the others where a breeze as well. I mean my Ranger finished the sneaking and stealing with ease, the fight was also easy (got the debuff for only shadowheart as only my Ranger could get past her AC). The Hardest part was the fucking gas in the beginning due to a bad roll. The fight against that Devil was also a breeze as my Ranger two shot him with a sneak attack and Shadowheart tanked the Mer stuff while gale "accidentally" obliterated everything with his buffed cantrips.

You can just click the gem or the location it will auto navigate

my bf and i were struggling with our self clones, but didn’t think to only send shadowheart in by herself so we stripped our entire party, had shart start the ritual, re-equip everything and then killed the naked clones

It's funny that I kinda accidentally half-cheesed the Self-Same trial without actually intending to. I just naturally gravitated to sending Shadowheart in alone for all 3 of the trials since it was in fact HER trial to complete. It was only afterwards that I found out that you were supposed to send in all your allies and get in a 4v4 instead of a 1v1 duel to the death.

I made the soft step trial using driud in puma form - it had a very long jump that allowed to skip it

Honestly the self same fight was a joke in my playthrough. I started the trial as intended but at this point I pretty much one round boss fights with my level 9 party stacked with well synergizing gear. I just used some cantrips and class features and as soon as one enemy was down the mirrored companion could join the fight against the other enemies.

You should try a jack of all trades run for the self same, as fun fact! The copy will copy your total level onto *every multiclass* that you have, I noticed when my copy had more than twice my total HP, casted ice storm, action surged, hit me *twice* as it somehow had extra attack, then raged as a berserker barbarian Worse yet? My copy was 2nd to the top of initiative and couldn't be surprised because of said frenzy barbarian perks, I almost wiped myself basically 😭

Pretty much everyone has done this the fair way at least once and it's only a challenge the first time sooo, why do these trials again and again every playthrough when its not even the best part of act 2. The trials themselves are pretty basic and bland

How to ruin the fun of the gauntlet by eliminating all the challenges. For some reason gamers will constantly optimize all the fun out of any game designed. I recognize that for some they might find fun in figuring out how to cheese the system and while that isn't my way I can understand it. But having that answer given to you as well just feels unsatisfying to me.

Shar's domain is literally trickery though. By thinking outside of the box and circumventing the trials, I honestly think you're acting more in line with their purpose than by acting within rules that... really weren't even explicitly stated. I like to sneak into the clones' room and get a surprise round off on them, personally.

If it wasn't a requirement to do these said trials every single playthrough I'd agree, but these trials are honestly only hard the first time. Even as somebody who started on the easiest difficulty then went to tactician. I'd say they are maybe worth doing correctly twice but then the cheese way is about the sane level of difficulty but takes less time. Third playthrough I just knock the door and skip the trials altogether

I think it's multiple things. As others mentoned, it's only really especially difficult if you haven't already done it before, so some might want to skip past it. Some just find joy in finding every way they can to break the game since they give you so many options to do so.
