Hey everybody: Not getting any problems "detected"? Try changing Tolerance from 1% to 10%. Eric: thank you for this video. NOTE: Like a lot of you all, I was doing the scan and getting "0 problems detected." I changed Tolerance from 1% to 10%. Upon re-scanning, I got 66 problems detected. (Yes, this seems "backwards", but never mind that...) I hit "Repair All": and the clipping was much improved (I went from sort of crappy to pretty OK audio.) Further Note: I then RESCANNED same audio several times. EACH time audio got better. I'm sure if I or you further tweaked the other settings - Gain, Min.Clip Size, etc., that different, probably better, results would occur. OVERALL: Yes, this helped a lot! Thanks!

Maybe his thought was that if you have Premiere, you probably have Audition too. If you don’t have both, then look for Izotope RX 10 Elements - it’s 40 bucks and you have everything you need for basic audio work, including a very good declipper. Or google Adobe Podcast - it will fix some of your problems for free.

The clipping removal tools attempt to round off and guess where the peaks should be and it works BUT, if the audio is music with loud banging bass causing clipping with the bass the higher frequency such as synths and vocals which are smaller signals riding on top of the low frequency clipped bass are still missing, so it still sounds broken. It improves it but does not fix it as Its virtually impossible to guess and rebuild missing information perfectly, you may still hear the clipping lost information. Its possible to sample just before and after a clipped section and copy this over the rebuilt low frequency peak, this can really hide the clipping but most programs are not this good, and its still not perfect.

Per my comments above: Try changing TOLERANCE setting to10%. Also try changing it to 50%. Once that's working, try scanning / correcting multiple times. Worked for me!
