Nice! I live in MD, we use the ezpass a lot. To back up your point…I was just at my local HD shop and some motor officers came in, both of them had their ezpass mounted in the manner you described. I had asked about it, having also lost an ezpass on the ride while mounted to the windshield, they said it works 100% of the time. Thanks for the video very useful!

Top of your right-side tour pack? Huh? Don't you think it would have been helpful to show where your tour pack is and where actually on your motorcycle the transponder sits? Not really useful for me. I guess if I had the same bike as you it would make more sense.

I was looking for a way to mount my ez pass and found your video- your solution is so simple it is perfect! Would this work on a saddlebag? I'll have to consider this. I have these 3M strips. It should be able to stick to my leather flap on my saddle bag. I usually put it behind my phone in the Ram mount straps. I'll let you know what comes of it. Thanks Bry!

nothing works for me since i installed custom dynamics complete light package.. they just wont read either one of my passes no matter where i put the pass.. so i just run them and let them read my plate which is on my account

In Virginia, an E-ZPass transponder is not necessary for the E-ZPass HOT Lanes that use the E-ZPass Flex transponder for HOV vehicles. Motorcycles pay nothing on the HOT Lanes in Virginia. This applies to the 64, 66, 95, 395, and 495 Express Lanes.

I just mounted mine on my windshield of my 2021 GoldWing, and I'm not confident about the location. I'm slightly skeptical of mounting it in my side bag. I was using it in my tank bag window on my Kawasaki and had to dispute 4 tolls on the same day. My transponder was tolled at the the same moment I received photos of my bike for non payment. And in IL those two offices don't play nice together.

I am going to try this. I had an IPass bounce off my dash and rattle down my body into the rear wheel. I tried putting it in my tank bag but Illinois toll takers didn't see it.

Good day, sir. I tried mounting my transponder in the same location after watching your video based on the same concerns. Thanks for putting this out! I was wondering if you might be willing to post a link to the "velcro" that you used to mount to the inside of the saddlebag lid. I've tried the little strips that come with the transponder as well as 3M CommandStrips. With both, the adhesive let loose from heat buildup and the transponder ended up on the floor, which is still better than on the side of the turnpike! For reference, when the transponder stays in place, I haven't had any problems with the toll screens reading the transponder, but I haven't ventured outside of PA with this set up yet. EZpass is not good.Recently my EZpass was hacked and use unauthorized access and billed 60 dollars in my account. So my lesson is never display EZpass at all cost. Display only when you're entering tolls..

I'm surprised that works....Last year I rode from Boston to the DC area with my EZPass in one of the chest pockets on my jacket, and it never seemed to work at toll plazas with the lights. It seemed like most of the tolls ended up showing up later when the plate photos went through whatever process it is that makes it take longer to show up on the account page

Well, the sleeve pocket doesn't seem to have made any difference. I had to wait for it to post to my account to be able to see if it worked, since I didn't pass through any traditional toll plazas - just the newer ones that read it without requiring you to slow down. Oh well.
