What I like about you Robert, is your encouragement. Your points about muscle memory are right. I learned this move from watching Boogaloo Shrimp in the film 'Breakin' on a VHS slo-mo, and this year I turn 50, and can still do it, it's like riding a bike! You guys are not going to master this in 5 minutes, nothing good was ever done in 5 minutes, but do it over and over, until it's second nature! My tip....better to start slow and correct, than fast and wrong. I learned this almost one frame at a time, then got faster, so don't run before you can walk! There is no quick fix, just practice!

I love your tip about tap dancing. I myself am an Irish dancer. Tap dancing has roots from Irish dancing. So if you don't prefer tap you could try Irish dancing. You will get the coordination, balance and strength to execute your dance moves. It took me tops 5 minutes to nearly perfect the glide. It's simple coordination! :)

Thanks Robert. I really appreciate how you can articulate the moves. Once there was a foot style dance in the sixties called the mashed potatoes. I think you can see a dancer do it on the old version of Hairspray. If you know this dance could you demo the foot work? thanks. I play guitar so foot moves are great to know while soloing.
