Today we go for the most insane build in Halls of Torment, though insane is in the eye of the beholder. Insanity for me refers to a lot. Just, a lot. Whatever that a lot may mean, let it be projectile amount or Area, just: a lot. And that's what we do. We use a weapon that starts off with a decent amount of projectiles, but summons 2 additional ones per projectile, PER UPGRADE. That means 4 additional projectiles every single shot. Combine that with a ton of attack speed as well as even more projectile amount, and your screen goes crazy.

The benefits of being a huge streamer. Dude is literally a gaming celebrity. TBH I never thought I'd ever follow him years ago but well... Plus he def earned a lot of positive rep with his takes and gaming sense. I'm glad he doesn't just play AAA/WoW stuff and is willing to give indies a chance. Indie devs deserve a fighting chance TBH I think Vampire Survivor's popularity could be attributed to Hololive/Gura though. Gura was one of the first big streamers to play it (Feb 2022) and brought a huge wave into it. You can see it with the first major spike there.

@@Pravanul the thing is that the second part you mention is the mindblowing part. Since I started in January 2022, even the combined amount of all people covering the game did not come close to Asmongold playing it, which is weird to me. For comparison, the most views Ive ever gotten were 2.3M in 1 month and this happened in May 2022, while in Februrary it was 1M and March 1.1M., and April jumping up to 1.8M. And we are talking about many other streamer and youtuber that played it, but no one caused such an insane increase somehow. And it's the same story with Halls of Torment again

Lightning strike can stun the ghosts in the ghost wall which causes it to break apart like that. It can also stun the ghosts that the final boss spawns to attack you.

You can have up to 3 of those reverberant potions. I had fun using them on the astronomer's orbs upgrade that gives an extra ball, ended the run with 2 rings of 14 orbs. I probably could've had more if I'd remembered the archer also got bonus projectiles.

I did that the other day but went with the +10 damage buff at 3, 6, and 10. The damage on the orbs was insane!

Potions made builds more crazy. I use the double apply one on unique one, mostly on rank 3 or 4 proficient stance or weapon proficiency. But memory potions as well, using proficiencies allows you to get both choices. Made it easier to build your characters

you can get both weapon 3/4 both stance prof 2/3/4. you can then double both stance prof 4 and then one of weapon prof.

I'm struggling to get 3 million damage from lightning strike, and now that I see what you do, I know what to do :D I didn't know getting certain skills would unlock some stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise noticed. I got the fire ring so I can probably do it. Ah it's too bad I don't have your attack/movement ring.

You can unlock lightning / burning afinity by equiping both of the ring (since they give bot 15% B/L effect on ur main weapon.

Looots of questions, but here we go... Hey there, been jumping on the game recently and I've been having a blast. I stumbled across this build yesterday. It looks pretty nuts, and I wanted to try it out. So you mean that if you pick up a Scroll to get a Weapon - In this case the Whirling Blades - and upgrade it three times with traits, the next time you pick up a scroll will have a guaranteed Upgrade Choice for this weapon? And this will happen again if the weapon is level 6?(Briefly mentioned at 4:50) I've tried to re-create this and getting the Blades to Level 3, then picking up a Scroll worked - I got the upgrade. When I got to Level 6 though, not so lucky. Is it just an increased chance? Or am I missing something? What happens if I have two weapons at Level 3 / 6? Or one at Level 6, one on Level 3? You also seems to know that it would take until Level 50 to get a Weapon to Level 6, does this mean that the Upgrades happen at fixed Levels? Maaaany questions, I know - But maybe you can tell me some more advanced techniques to get those insane hyper synergies, other than dumb luck.

It depends which character you are for what Traits are available though. Most characters don't need to pick up Lightning Strike to find Range+Area. ;p

It is the same, if using only Transfixion and the lightning ting in order to get lightning affinity. For transfixion, I go 0.3 proj, 0.3 proj, 15% AS, 0.3 proj, 0.3 proj, 10% crit, 0.3 proj, 0.3 proj, 15% AS, 0.3 proj. I use the doubling potion twice on the 0.3 proj and once at 20% projectililes. I am disabling all deffensive traits and I end with 60% crit on Transfixion. Maxed out at lvl 60. The mobbing and bossing times are like 25% slower, but you end with craptone of gold. I tried only with Ring blades, the result was meh compared to this one. Looks like the archer needs only Transfixion.

This is the most br0ken build in the game indeed. Although, I used reverberant(the potions that doubles the effects) 2 times on multihit and ofc on the 20% projectiles. It got almost twice as insane as in the video :D.

I run 40% crit dmg ring + physical dmg chance to splash. Ring blades, orbs, needle, and transfixtion are all physical damage and can pierce / hit multiple. Focus crit chance to base 40% (abilities get the rest to cover) Then projectiles -> piercing -> damage % -> Crit Dmg -> attack speed are my priorities. With anything buffing damage on abilities if one of those is not on the board. Paired with the projectile gloves, hunters garb, xp ammy, attack speed helm, and movespeed boots. I cheese everything.

All that playing with your balls must have made you go blind Dex. One of the advanced upgrades to Transfixion gives it a slow. That is how you are slowing down the ghost wall as it closed in. Also, if you want the specific "Fire" and "Electricity" upgrades sooner; then USE THE FIRE AND LIGHTNING RINGS FROM THE START OF THE RUN. Seriously, you can get them as level 1 upgrades. Plus, it gives all your attacks the ability to affect lightning and burn damage on enemies.

I just did an AFK run on Archer with Transfixion as my main weapon that I juiced up with attack speed, damage and projectiles and I didn't need to move even once in the final 2 minutes. Enemies all died outside Astro Orbs range as well (it was my third and final weapon I picked, second being Lightning Strike which didn't do that much damage either). Not as strong as Needles, but bosses all melted in ~2-3 seconds due to fragility spam. Love this weapon so much.
