Hipa offers good aftermarket replacements, and no I don’t got paid to say this. I bought a few kits from them to fix Stihl fs85, 018C. Both run great now!

I do like my stihl saw, but I do not like the obvious " designed to fail" parts that are built in. Good that there are other brands and models to choose from. A few of the clones that are of simpler and reliable designs have filled the gap. ESPECIALLY for people that don't like the primer bubbles.

You should putting the choke lever on but at the 10:20 point you talk about checking the choke but the lever is not installed. Then you assemble all with the lever lying on the bench.

are these carbs preset; the one I have the idle port is covered by the adjusting screw rod. How much of the idle channel should be open?

May I Ask, what about just cleaning the existing carby instead of replacing it? Many thanks

You could just cleaning the carburetor. Sometimes the diaphrams and needle seal inside the carburetor may get problem and need a replacement. The carburetor is very affordable nowadays. Some of them are below $15. If you feel it's not worth spending too much time cleaning the carburetor, buying a new one is also cost-effective

Hi, I cleared everyparts that connect to the carburetor from sides and the front. Somehome theres still suctioned behind from the engine thats prevent me from pulling it out the 2 prongs, any tips ?

Why. Not quickly wipe out the clamshell interior @ 08:29, before sliced ng the fuel tank back in? Yes, they are saws, but eliminating junk and grime wherever possible adds to the running and lifetime of the unit? Just a thought.... 😊
