This DnB sounds sooo sweet, but the repetitive nature of the genre always makes it feel like a tech demo to me. I'd love to see this stuff executed by someone with real knowledge of classical composing who could take you on a complete journey but keep the sci fi nature of the noise.

not quite! the two ableton stock samplers (simpler & sampler) are insanely powerful and have been around forever. this isn't that though. Amigo is a VST that emulates a sampler from the 90s whilst everything i did in Amigo Sampler can be done with slicex/simpler/sampler, the reason i love Amigo is because the emulation of outdated software makes you think about what you're doing differently. Everything is downsampled and a bit clunkier which completely changes your workflow and makes you approach sampling slightly differently by force, as opposed to by choice (which is a good thing imo) you should try it if you only ever use Slicex, you'd be surprised!

@canaryworkshop7 ай бұрын
The sampler VST I was using has a really nice phaser built into it that I was automating at the end of the loop! I can imagine you could get similar results with any stock phaser but yeah the one built into the Amigo sampler sounds super unique and is really easy to use
