In Renoise it the Inst. automation devices. They respond to different instruments so you can combine multiple of them into one Doofer (Macro device). One way to do this in ableton would be to map each to a midi controller individually. then map them both to another midi CC on the controller. 😊✌️🚀

You don't need to map as Amigo just uses the keyboard notes . i.e C1-C4. You need to find a way to transpose the pads on your keyboard controller to hit the right midi notes.

Maybe I missed it but what exactly is the gate function for? Also when I use thru mode I’ll draw how long I want the note too play on piano roll and it doesn’t matter how short I make the note or how long the sampler will play the entire loop from where I sliced it on the sampler. Just getting into jungle producing and having a bit of a rough time 😅
@groovining5 ай бұрын
Gate is exactly that. With Gate on, drawing in a midi note or holding a key dictates how long the note plays for. With gate off the note just plays to the end of the whole slice when its triggered.
@Jason-nx3hl5 ай бұрын
@@groovining hell yeah I knew it! I figured that now I’m gonna try with thru on been loving this sampler! Also noticed that using the pitch makes the sample play back faster for me for some reason am I doing something wrong?
@groovining5 ай бұрын
This is exactly what happens when you pitch sounds up - they speed up also. The only way to get around this is through timestretching. DAWs like Ableton and Logic etc. have this function where you can manipulate pitch and time differently. But the old-school or natural way is how Amigo does it.

Bought this wicked bargain a few days back. Am I right it thinking you can't stretch a loop to the actual DAW tempo?

you do it the old school way :) using pitch and finetune by ear u match the sample to DAW tempo

@@stekker1 you could time stretch all the loops you want to use beforehand to the same BPM. Then bounce each loop to a WAV and put them into Amigo.

Hi Groove in G, what Reverb and Delay have you used? Thanks for reply. :)
@groovining7 ай бұрын
@@paulfrieda6486 I use raum by native instruments and H-Delay by waves. They are pretty much my go to delay/reverb. A great free delay is ‘deelay’ which is similar. Valhalla vintage verb is a good alternative to raum. But I love the air setting on raum :)

can you please do a tutorial on how to install it? Ableton is not reading it somehow :(

You've got to make sure you drag VST3 in VST3 or VST to VST. seems to be the problem most people are having :)

what the sample on intro?
@groovining7 ай бұрын
The vocal is actually from Justin Timberlake tiny desk where I chopped up his performance, pitched and added lots of FX. The speech is AI eleven labs and the pad is the same as 3:12 and is from my sample pack - www.groovingbiz.co.uk/aquaticdreams

Are there any features that you don't get from just stock Renoise?
@groovining10 ай бұрын
Akai timestretch, sample start/end modulation. Sample rate reduction, true 8 bit. There is a lot of cross over and Renoise is better for most things with all the tracker FX but Amigo still has value for sure 😊 🚀

Thanks for getting back to me , I mostly use a hardware sequencer but this looks right up my street . Thank you
@groovining10 ай бұрын
I have a Digitakt/Digitone & have used Polyend Tracker in the past. The sequencer in Renoise is a beast by comparison and super creative with all the Tracker FX, Step Automation etc. It also interfaces really well with hardware through midi/midi mapping/ midi macro's controls etc. ✌️

why use a plugin that emulates the sound of old trackers instead of actually using the old trackers?
@groovining27 күн бұрын
For most people the cost & effort to setup and learn Octamed on an Amigo is too much. Far easier to have a plugin for £10 that gets you close to what you want. :)

@@groovining what about the ft2 and protracker ports?
@groovining27 күн бұрын
I use Renoise which is bascially a combination of all the best parts of those old trackers. Amigo does it's best to emulate some of the 8-bit sound quality an actual Amiga. It's also just a dope sampler VST for £10
@DJWhizzkidd10010 ай бұрын
Sensibly priced too. Hopefully they sell a bunch.

Do you have the right settings on Decimort 2?
@groovining10 ай бұрын
I spent quite a considerable amount of time A Vs B between Decimort 2 and Amigo. I would give it a go yourself. Decimort 2 without doubt introduces more distortion for a similar amount of filtering. I still love Decimort 2 but it’s interesting how clean Amigo sounds. :)
@Lotuz-mk1xv10 ай бұрын
@@groovining I would if there was a demo version. I wonder what pre and post filters the Amiga and Amigo use. When recreating the sound of other old samplers, I often have to change Decimort's filters to match the sound.
@groovining10 ай бұрын
@@Lotuz-mk1xv yea it’s interesting for sure. Amigo is using linear interpolation which is nothing special really. The main thing is that the sample rate is not real-time as it’s so CPU intensive. In Decimort it is. The Devs of Amigo think this may be why is so clean. I could match the filtering very closely to Amigo but Decimort 2 always added more noise and distortion to the signal for a similar amount of filtering.
