@MoonzFC Generally you want to hold onto each piece of gear you find IF it's the highest level gear in that slot. For example, if your boots are 1960 and you pick up boots that are 1962, you should keep the 1962 boots in your inventory. Keep repeating this process until you have all items at highest level. You may find that some gear drops at, or below, your current gear level. This is common and it's ok to simply delete these. You can quickly find higher level gear by completing vanguard strikes or playing crucible. If you do not know about "pathfinder" you should google what it is and how to use it as this is a great way for new AND experienced players to farm upgrade materials like enhancement cores. I love this new feature. Instead of giving us base power gear and having to stash Exotics in the vault, we can just pull out Exotics from collections at our max gear Power.

Actually it’s an old feature that was removed and then brought back. Only difference being that now the gear we pull out is only 5 power below (not counting artifact) vs 20 power below.

@@daredevil2_074 all weapons and armor. So anything you can pull out of collections (pre-determined rolls) will be up to par to match your Power. Now that sunsetting is sunset, you can pull out any Y1 and Y2 pre-rolls if you really want. Or if you just want a full set of armor even with low stats you could do that too.

but because of the new power system you really don’t need to in most situations now say you have a hunter at 1970 then you swap to titan that you haven’t touched so it’s at 1900, the gear you acquire from any activity will scale the exact same as if you were on the 1970 character, hence most drops will be about 1965 range and powerfuls will be a bit more than 1970 only time you’d need to do this is if you swapped characters and instantly wanted to do a harder activity that has a recommended power

THIS is actually huge. I was having a headache with boots not dropping at the power level I needed, stuck at 1900. Obviously this is going to burn through upgrade modules but it's better than hoping for Rahool or ARNGesus to bless you with the desired piece of armor or weapon. Also, grinding lost sectors is a nice idea.

@@cloneboss4295 No, literally I had no boots beyond 1900. I was being screwed badly by RNG. At least now I could equal all characters but it was getting quite frustrating and the Lost Sectors at the moment are quite hard to grind.

I just came back to destiny 2 this week after not playing for years. Was able to find some gear that dropped and make my existing gear up to that level with this. It’s pretty nice not having to grind for just decent gear when I already have reliable gear. Just have to try and understand all the modding and everything else they added since I’ve been gone.

Tip if you're trying to lvl exotics using this do not use anything other than that exotic it'll only cost 1k glimmer rathan than 1 upgrade module

Fun fact: While most armor pieces will pull at -5, a few of the halloween masks will pull at +0. There are some scenarios were pulling a halloween mask can actually push your accounts power level higher.

Such a great quality of life change for exotics. Did I need a max power Prospector? No, but if I ever wanted one, I would have to have infusion fuel in my vault just to make it useable. Glad to see that is no longer the case!
