If anyone viewing this is having difficulties with their personal prog on a certain mech let me know, and I will try to help! I glossed over more mechs due to the length of the edit, but I have cleared this multiple times solo now with near ilevel characters so I can help out as best I can! Also apologies on length, tried to cut it down like the last one as best I could, but from 4 hours + of footage, it was rough... Kayangel early next week!

I think solo mode needs to do a better job in explaining what you need to do with each wipe mech because if you weren't there to tell him what he needed to do on most mechs I don't think he would have cleared. As it is right now solo mode is still a solid step in the right direction for the more casual player base.

I wish Lost Ark explained wipe mechs better, so new players don't even have to rely on yt or website guides. Them adding solo raids surprised the f outta me tho

That's true. I am a new player and i see those video's and i don't know where you have to go and why Mark died . If you don't have someone tell you because they have done it a lot and know wtf is happening you have zero chance to do it without a guide. The best way imo is to have indicators so we can understand what we have to do and in some time we be trained and ready for the group raid's.

Man when this launched it was a crazy frustrating and intense time in my guild lol Especially gate 5 and 6. Some good times back then. The peak of Lost Ark. Can't believe they made these solo now. GL makes it look like a walk in the park hahaha They really watered it down for the newbies

Check each one of your skills aha. They have variable amounts of stagger some have none. Stagger bars under the boss (the orange bar underneath) typically suggest a mech has occurred where stagger needs to happen (bar depleted) in a short amount of time. Additionally under the bosses hp is a constant stagger bar that depletes throughout fight and can create a moment of free damage in the fight.

Doing these on a gun lancer just shows nothing to players who are on bad classes or shit counter skills .. gunlancer can just stand still and counter with fast cd . The 3 counter mech is pathetic for solo

Hey man appreciate the feedback! I agree Gunlancer unfortunately makes this process really easy for a new player and kind of undermines the goal of the video. That being said, the counter mech at the end of gate 1 is really easy on any class based on cds getting reset basically when they land. It would only be hard with someone who isn’t familiar with counter timings as of yet and isn’t fundamentally a class ease thing. Once you get better and more comfortable with counters as a mechanic this mech is free on any class, even those who have to use bad counters like chain sword.

@IntoTheCrawlspace I've just started playing again this week so yeh I'm bad with it atm and my countering isn't best but I still feel game has bad counter registration and the hit boxing in this game sucks. Ya vids have been fun to watch tho

I had a lot of frustrations similarly with counters early on, I’m probably one of the worst counter gamers with how many hours I have in the game lol. But you start seeing the timing and distance some counters have versus others. Paladins can throw theirs from across the map while a berserker has to be smelling what the boss ate for dinner last night. Some classes have a slow to cast counter or you will have classes with instant cast ones.

Gate 4 is hell for new players. I don't even care about this raid until I have full gold gear and more than 1520 ilvl. Why waste time progressing through an old raid for two weeks for little gold and some materials? This is insane; the difficulty should be below both Brel and Akkan. Solo Raids should get less Wipe Mechanic.

1:40 What a cancer raid... it's just a big fu to the new player who will do DPS for 10 minutes just to get wiped at the end with stupid counter mechanic since the boss will systematically turn his back on you and not leave enough time to position for counter (plus pathing suxx and if you click in front of the boss half of the time you will end up going the other way). Now I know I'm not the only one to struggle here...

He’s unfortunately using it as a crutch due to panic. I’m not even certain he has the proper rotation tbh, he played like a blue hybrid before he left so no idea if his rotation is even remotely right aha

​@@IntoTheCrawlspace there isn't a very strict rotation to blue tbh, as far as i remember, you just have to fit in the lightning + jump + shield bash in the bash buff window (second row tripod gives you damage to blue skills for like 5 seconds). Also bluelancer can just chill in shield mode, but he really has to turn it off when it's time to actually RUN somewhere.
