If anyone viewing this is having difficulties with their personal prog on a certain mech let me know, and I will try to help! I have cleared this multiple times solo now with near ilevel characters so I can help out as best I can! Apologies on the length, the rough cut was 32 minutes and cut a large part of good moments out to make it more manageable. Getting the gold to get him 1600 for the Solo Ivory run and working on a new class picks video for new players!

I know the algorithm and probably most people like shorter videos but I wish we could see more of each run. I like the longer videos. But anyway, loved the video! Great to see how he struggled with Akkan and got the clear in the end with in my opinion the coolest ending to a LA raid. Can't wait for the next one!!!

yeah I just can't imagine a lot actually want to invest this much time into something so menial, I know there is definitely a smaller fraction who would love more of the interactions and prog aspects, but based on how many also don't like me even telling him mechs, I imagine this is the middle ground these videos have to be in to get some traction instead of falling off at like 300-500 views. Love these, cannot wait for the later stuff. Have just cleared G2 Akkan solo, had 2 attempts at G3 but had to give up, hopefully after reset I can clear the entire raid in the 7 days. Control Glavier at 1586 with 2 pieces of Akkan gear. I know some people are less than enthusiastic with the rewards but I enjoy doing these solo raids as it allows me to 'clear content' without any stress or anxiety of failing mechs in group settings and wiping the raids. Keep up the good work!

They actually increased the amount of gold you get from solo raids, so people aren't complaining about the rewards anymore.

@@pa3ck122 well actually people complain about the gold increase but instead of half bound half tradable, it is 100% bound now. The amount itself is good in honing and do elixir but solo people can not buy gems and skin in the AH. Other than that the solo raid is excellent contents.

There it is. I enjoy this series so much - it's interesting that our experiences differ so much depending on what character we use to prog the fights with. I did everything as WD and Mayhem serker, and while Mark has been able to just soak mechanics that would kill my characters on most previous fights, the shoe is now on the other foot as he ran out of steam on GL so many times on G3 when I 2-shot it on prog. I struggled so much more with G2 shadow mech than Mark did though, because you gave him the secret sauce immediately; that you can run straight to the safe spots when the skulls start blinking - which is extremely unintuitive; run OUT of the shadow and into the light, to safety. An inexperienced person will instead try to stay in the shadow as he turns. The maxroll guide writer even trolls people, if you look it up it says that you have to "pay attention to the skulls and follow the shadow closely to survive this mechanic." I only found out because I complained about the mech in a reddit comment and someone then explained that you can just go immediately. I haven't been petrified since. Anyway, loved the video, looking forward to watching Mark take on Voldis and G3 mirror countering. I think running bonus stagger runes will help, he can probably complete the mech with just 2 counters with stagger runes.

I'm happy you're enjoying the series! I was infamous on Akkan prog for wiping at shadow mech on g2 and even to this day i will stumble and get what i presume is a ping freeze, Mark legitimately just ran in circles not even realizing how annoying it is because of that initial tip aha. My fear is g2 at the moment, I haven't even fully realized how intensive each mech is on g3 for mark to be locked in...

You should do the same thing, but have Mark watch you play through the solo raids. It will give him an idea of how to dps and do the mechs and it will be only a 30mins "lesson" for the entire raid (after he clears that is).

While he's not so familiar with the raids, I'd recommend using fire bullet instead of counter gunlance, as he probably barely utilizes counter gunlance, and fire bullet helps a lot with stagger and destruction check

Gunlancer in general is just an odd class compared to others. And I just mean they either have the easiest time in the raid or they are having an even more uncomfortable time. Its why I dropped it out of my main 6 not too long ago. I just hate that some raids its super comfy and you can just eat almost everything. The meter mechanics that are in vykas/clown/akkan/echidna were so punishing they nerfed it for front attackers, but then go to charges instead for echidna. So while there are going to be parts of the raid that are easier on GL, other parts are actually annoying with back dash/super slow/meter mechs and knowing what you can just eat and what you can tank. Great series tho.

I think on Day 2, which was the 2-4 hr time frame, Mark relayed to me at the end that he took some gummy previous to the run that gave him some brain fog and he was uhh.... doing frustrating things aha. He was much more cognisant on day 3 lol

I still don't get the Lantern mechanic. Would be nice if you gave a comprehensive guide. I didn't even know that your safe if he's still turning, you only have to land at the shadow when he stops.

He will do either 3 turns or 2, per set and there are 3 sets. Low chance he will do the full spin laser, but if that happens that counts as 1 of the 3 sets. In the regular rotations in each set, he will only do 1 of 2 rotations, 90 degrees or 180. The direction is based on the two hanging green skulls on his side. if the one on his left glows it's Counter Clock Wise, if it glows on his right side it's Clockwise. His sides are determined by his front attack marker not the side of the screen, so if he is facing downwards (which he usually is when the mech starts) and the one on the left side glows, that's his right, so he will turn Clockwise. If you can focus on the fact of where he is facing, then the lights determining turns will be really easy as he will turn in the direction of the light. As soon as the light flashes you can leave the shadow and move but must be on the shadow when it finishes the rotation. If you're like me, I was very panic-filled during this and was constantly clicking left to right. just find the center of the shadow and stay there. I have found as you go farther back into the wider shadow the radius is a little finicky so I try to stay somewhat close, not super tight but mid-close for reliable safety. In his rotation, he can only do 3 total variations. (90,90,180), (90,180,90) or (180,180). He will always finish his rotation on his start spot. So if he starts at 12 o'clock and his first rotation is 90 degrees Clock Wise to 3 o'clock, there are now only two options left. He will either do CCW 180 from 3 to 9 o'clock and finish back with a 90-degree CW turn back to 12 or he will do another 90-degree CW turn from 3 o'clock to 6, then finish with a 180-degree CCW turn back to the start position of 12. Additionally, never use your spacebar this will not save you and will actually work to freeze you even if you make it. Mark had a somewhat slow class and you saw his ease of just rotating, so if you just stay calm and click the turn locations you will be fine. it is panic that will wipe out most people on this mech whether it be over-clicking or using their spacebar. Hope this helps, was a wall of words so probably just too much....

The videos don’t show it, but there is a lot of downtime where I’m trying to help him get better with damage windows and moments where he can dish a quick bit of damage. I imagine voldis g3 will be another long one, let alone g2. I may show him why shield characters function so well on g2, but I think viewers may be dissatisfied so I don’t know at the moment.

Panacea is a yellow battle item that cleanses your character. You use it in this fight in cleanse the stagger debuff so you can clear the stagger mech

Staggering feels a little tough, I do use Wei for the first one, sometimes fail but mostly doable now. Getting it to x90 is where I mostly struggle for now, I use Thirain albeit a little later as the bar doesn't get fully filled up right away, and also save my awakening for it, but sometimes seems like it does little damage, most of the time I get it at x91-92. Most likely just me sucking, I found the class fun + maxroll seems to show it as one of the highest dps. At least with all the tries I can definitely say I somewhat understand the class better. xD Also following Maxroll's raid build for her. Am on ignite server and got the accessories they gave me + hallucination phantom clothes

So full moon is one of the best classes in the game, the issue is without better quality accessories and without proper wealth runes (have you done Arkesia tour?) it can feel a little clunky until it hits higher overall spec numbers. Also stagger on SE is a little rough since most of yours comes from your pink skills and unless you have them up it’s rough. Are you using the secret siddereal at that stagger for the tech?

@@IntoTheCrawlspace For the x50 bar mech I'm using Innana sidereal. For the first stagger one I'm using Wei. Got Panacea and Dark Grenade for battle items. I'm still fairly new, played for a couple months when the game was released globally. This is my first char since coming back, having Solo Raids being one of the main reasons as I don't really have anyone I know to play lost ark with. So haven't really touched anything else including Arkesia tour. I do plan on making a character from scratch eventually, for now just enjoying the content I do want to experience the most.

The only problem with solo raid is, it's the same as normal/hard raid ... wipe mech this and that plus the rewards just garbage absolutely not worth it for returners/new players. The game design were undoubtedly garbage to its core and yet they didn't intend to change any of these, instead in their mind this wipe mechs all over the raids are good for the game ??? I personally think the korean devs don't know how to run a business properly, their job was to create a game where people could enjoys thoroughly and gain revenues, not the other way around. Now the game currently in support mode both in korea & global .. waiting for its demise, all of these simply because the devs were delusional.

well to be fair these greedy KR dev do well in KR market since they have more game addicts. But the game is doing poorly in the West right now. I have to say the solo raid is fun for people can have time to prog it and endure the wipe mech ( and it is easier than the group ver) , but for more casual it is still quite difficult. However if you enjoy it it is pretty good. The only downside of solo raid now is pretty meh reward, all 100% bound gold is pretty bat shit. So expect this mode wont bring a lot of player back even though it is very good in concept and the raid is excellent

Solo Raids now give ~80% the gold of Normal Raids. That, on top of the fact that new players get 5x3 Engravings and full lvl 7 gems for free + the new Solo Raid shop for honing materials, the game is literally in the best state it's ever been for new players.
