6:47 You call it disturbing. Mate, I call it the best crossover ever made. Avengers wishes they had a crossover as gloroius as this. XD

The first 12 cert VHS oddly enough I ever owned was Mars Attacks! Always am miffed as to why 12 cert ultimately became a family-friendly rating like PG and U when growing up 12 was more or less a mature rating like 15 and 18. Sad!

Plus, I had to rack my brain and try and remember WHO had voiced the Dee-Dee Twins: Melissa Joan Hart (aka Sabrina the Teenage Witch and later Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda in the DiC cartoon version of the series)

Oh my god thank you for bringing up the Channel 5 airing, I had vague memories of catching the bumpers for it and not getting to see the rest of it because the Sky dish being affected by the weather, and I just assumed I made it up.

No problem - I have a bad habit of bringing up vague memories. 😁

The thing I love most about this review is that I can tell that you’re at least a fan of the DCAU, it really shows in this video! The review was great as is the movie! My favorite thing in the movie is the flashback scene with Tim as Joker Jr. the scene where Joker calls Batman “Bruce” gives me chills every time. I agree though, the uncut version is better than the original in many ways, joker’s death is “executed” so well in that version and it kinda sucks in the censored version.

Yes, my comic book knowledge isn't the greatest, but I know the DCAU very well, having grown up with most of those shows. It would explain why this ended up being the most detailed review I've made so far! 🙂

Batman Beyond Return of The Joker is my all time ultimate favorite movie. I love how it combines the joker who is an original Batman villain who meets Bruce Wayne’s son Terry McGinnis because it reminds me of other amazing stories that I’ve heard of before. I especially love the joker from the 1989 movie Batman and the joker from the movie The Dark Knight because those were the best jokers of all time. I hope in the future they keep making even more jokers because he is my favorite villain and Batman is my favorite superhero.

One of my favorite animated films And honestly I kind of prefer the Bruce timm Batman films over the Christopher Nolan ones Mainly because of the balance of drama and fun And return of the joker does a fantastic job at subverting expectations Now most Batman vs Joker stories have a realization that Batman can't kill the joker In this film he does but not Bruce Wayne, instead its Terry McGinnis I even liked them better than the dc animated films that are just direct adaptations of the comics without any experimentation I've heard great things about merry little Batman, that one I definitely want to look into Batman beyond return of the joker remains one of my favorites Hell Batman beyond is a great show It took its gimmick towards its advantage while never forgetting what made Batman the animated series so great

It's one of the more interesting stories about censorship. It's funny how like 4 minutes and 2 or 3 "alternate takes" was the difference between G and PG13.
@nathanielvaughn67282 ай бұрын
It was never rated G. The censored version was unrated here in the US, and the cuts still weren't enough to stave off a 12 rating in the UK.

@@nathanielvaughn6728 maybe not by the MPAA, but when the censored version aired on cartoon network I swear it was tv-g or TV-y7

Also: "Were you all as bitter as he was?" "Look up Nightwing, I'm sure he's got stories." Especially considering you not only CHEATED on Dick while he was away, with your MENTOR no less, but also BORE HIS BABY, and would later have a miscarriage by falling down the stairs during the time he got into a fistfight with Bruce the day that he found iut and QUIT as Robin, *BABS!* ...oh who am I kidding, Batman Beyond Comics Canon is basically silly putty, at one point TIM from an alternate timeline was Batman Beyond for a while Volume, no one cares or remembers that weird-ass explanation for why Nightwing wasn't in Batman Beyond and why Bruce dated Barbara.

I love that "Return of The Joker" was done by TMS Entertainment. They do a better job with DC's stuff than Koko Enterprise and Dong Yang Animation combined. I still don't like Koko's work on Johnny Bravo (both Seasons 2 & 3). And I don't like the Mary-Sue Network's Pet of WB of a Flim-Flam known as Maxine Gibson. No one should be that smart enough to figure out a hero's/heroine's identity in a heartbeat.
