My wife and i rode this train a few weeks ago. #16. Built in Pennsylvania in 1916. They are almost ready with #14. We are going again soon. They are firing the coal stoves in the cars for the winter rides. The engine has 1600 horsepower and 30,000 labs torque at the wheel. I work in this area for the Pennsylvania game commission. I love the old steamers😊😊

I talked to the engineers. The engine just plays with the small load. It was made to pull heavy coal cars up those steep mountains.
