I might have at this point! No idea how they’re going to get it under so many of the bridges, I can only think of lowering the track bed. Thanks a lot mate 👍🏻

Brilliant video. Very familiar with the area being a Huddersfield lad. Far cry from 8F's slogging and slipping up the bank from 'udders' with never ending coal trains. 14:20. co2 storage units (trees) being recycled. Less efficient than coal!!! Aren't we clever.

Great video Luke, last lever boxes I was in were Glendon North & Frisby, whilst working on the Leicester Resignalling Scheme 1987. We put in the first keyboard/ tracker-ball consoles at Leicester PSB used in parallel with conventional push/pull button panels. It was funded by the British Rail Board as a trial. On our first day with the firm, my colleague and I glued all the filters in the mosaic panel window tiles for the train describer displays.

Another cracking video Luke, always a good day when a new Diggle Diaries is uploaded! Great shots of the 37's, wish we had them back in South Wales again! Would really like to visit Hellifield as I love the mix of modern traction and old station architecture and semaphores. Checked the price of a return ticket from my local station after seeing it on another channel - £386...!! Not happening then! 😂Keith

Thanks a lot Keith 👍🏻 bloody hell, £386?! Worlds gone mad. It’s one of those awkward little places to get to even in the car but lovely scenery and the logs always make it worth a trip. Plenty of steam tours head up that way for the S&C too.

The scheme did away with 32? Lever boxes. In the initial stages the system had a few difficulties, so I spent a week up on the operating floor of the PSB, wstching whst was going on and waiting for a failure. To a man, the guys at the box made me feel welcome. They had years of experience and stories too. One of the guys from Leicester North Box had had painters turn up to paint the box, three weeks before it was demolished! I read some where that ? Glendon North had been saved, and was at the Midland Railway Centre.

Ha good old British Rail painting the box only to rip it down! I'll have to make a visit to Butterly and the MRC to see if I can find Glendon North SB.

68030 black Douglas is named after sir James Douglas the 4th earl of Douglas aka the black Douglas. He was one of William Wallace's trusted knights who fought in the Scottish wars of independence.

Sorry to hear that Peter, I don’t see too much accidentally out of focus. I do film some shots with cinematic style focusing to draw the eye to the trains. Low light filming will unfortunately always look a bit grainy. Thanks for the feedback.
