Lmao I love how people are complaining about the brakes. In my opinion, you can't have a proper high speed train if you don't have deafening brakes to go with it. Better still, at least the brakes actually work. 😌

So the class 180 will replace the HSTs woohoo....um...well...that causes problems as many lines are HST 125mph speed limited and other trains 110mph, these will have to keep HST timings with one hand tied behind their backs. With no HSTs running does anyone think the line speed will be increased

The HST 125mph board literally applies to anything that is capable of the 125mph 'high speed' bracket, so that includes HSTs, 222s and the 180s (of which have quicker acceleration than a HST set). The real downer will be when EMR replace the 125mph Corby 222 service, with a 110mph 360.

@@juliettebravosprteam4072 360s are being upgraded to 110mph but some sections of track (particularly the slow tracks) are only rated at 90mph anyway plus customers south of Kettering who normally travel to Leicester and beyond will lose their direct trains, interchange at kettering
