Now there's no question that Japanese rock bands are taking the world by storm, especially female musicians. So much talent there. Again, rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan.

So in love with Akane... that bridge is one of the most hauntingly beautiful vocals I've ever heard. Spectacular first song for this supergroup! We all want more🤩 Doesn't hurt she's freakin' gorgeous too -- all of them are -- but my East of Eden's MVP, at least for now, is her (and I'm a big fan of Yuki, who isn't so easily dethroned in terms of talent spotlight and beauty😅)

Here for Wakazaemon. She was in the Daisuke Kurosawa X-Japan project with Murata Tamu and the Maximum the Hormone project band plus toured recently in the US in Marty Friedmans band. Excellent bass player. Japan is the capitol of absolute gun musicians.Edit: The bands first live performance at Zepp Diver City on 8th October is already SOLD OUT. Its no wonder after listening to this song. What a great debut single

Love this track, hope to hear more from them. All of them are top notch. Loved the violin and how can you go wrong with Yuki as your guitarist. Loved the bass from Wakazaemon, she has not long done a tour as Marty Friedman's bassist

She's also been touring domestically with Ryuichi the singer from Luna Sea's solo project and is gonna be the support bassist for Koiai's first Japanese shows (Hazuki from Nemophila & Li-sa-X's new band), plus she was doing some session work with Tamu Murata the other day for a TV show (the hints left suggested it might be for Doraemon). To say she's in demand & been keeping herself busy is an understatement, but then I guess renting in Tokyo ain't cheap. Ayasa is one of a handful of Japanese violinists alongside Jill from Unlucky Morpheus that's equally as comfortable with rock & metal as she is with classical. She's previously performed as a featured soloist with orchestras and has a long track record with anime cover arrangements, having released four anisong cover albums to date. She typically plays a five string violin with an extra low C, which give her an extra 5th in range and is the same as the lowest note on a viola. I'm hopeful that this'll turn into a Doll$boxx calibre of side project, but with more regular output.

Wakazaemon was part of MTH's new band discovery bass winner a few years back. She just finished a US tour with Marty Friedmann. She is a hired gun traveling between projects, to include support for Koiai (Lisa-X, Hazuki, Kotono) on 10/14/2023 Shibuya Stream Hall with Kaneda Sato (drums). Po! Great reactions! 🦍🍌

@@RyanMear It was 2019. MTH had "Rock Band Franchising Project Maximum the Hormone No. 2", and members were selected by an audition and formed Maximum the Hormone No. 2 Band called Coronana Moremomo. At this time, Murata Tamu and Nyango Star🤣 applied as drummers.

She is a part of the band, the drummer have "graduated", and the younger brother of MTH's bassist is the interim drummer (they released the last video with the original drummer). The band will disband after their concert February 16, next year.

There's so much talent in Japan that musicians can assemble an awesome band just because they want to try new things for fun lol I like it since the first listen, and it's still growing on me. Akane was in Mochi to Cheese, but it was just a little acoustic side project that lasted for a couple of years and only had one official single release. She was the main singer in the idol group Predia for 11 years until they ended in 2022. That was her main gig. She posted that she just finished recording for the album, so I guess we'll see a release in the next few months at some point.

And you can clearly hear Mao's shadow all over that song (composer for Lovebites, Lonesome_blue and co-composer here). They'll soon have concerts, so they probably have an album ready too. For me, the biggest surprise here is Akane's voice - she definitly grew up as a singer since the Mochi To Cheese days! I had no doubts the four musicians would be awesome (I knew them before) but she's the cherry on the cake.

I doubt they randomly met up in a pub and decided to form a band. I strongly suspect a producer had some tunes they wanted a group to perform and managed to recruit a line-up to record them.
@PENTA_pischner Жыл бұрын
I think it's a mix of both. Ayasa (Violin) had a feat. on a Lonesome_blue song. Mizuki (Dr. Lonesome_blue) played with Ayasa also in other gigs (you can find vids of Nowise this year). Also Ayasa had some gigs with Asami (Vo. Lovebites). And Mao is a composer of songs for all this groups. So i believe Ayasa started the project but used the network to form it.
