I have been taught subnetting the incorrect way. I just gave up until I found your video.The 1’s and 0’s are so confusing I am watching this video over and over because this method is so easy to understand. Thank you for posting for people like me. If anyone is struggling PLEASE follow this it will begin to click. I put my life on it this group of folks makes it fun not intimidating. I am sharing this with everyone like me trying to get into IT

I want to cry. I was so confused by all the 0's and 1's but the students laying it out so straight forward AND showing the applications, it's finally clicked for me. I just took a semester on networking, and on top of that I am taking a course on udemy to reinforce everything I've learned, but it was this video that made everything so clear. beyond grateful, many thanks.

Man, good vid, you and the guys seems like a good bunch of real people! relatable! I have a question though, in the last example the 4th network ips that could be assigned to host were 194 to 253. Can you explain why its not 194 to 254, I was under the impression that the broadcast address for the last subnet would be 192.168.100.255?
@e0b1ff4 жыл бұрын
Im a little confused about the use of the network address's and the gateway address's. I thought the two were the same or is this the way to do it when "IP SUBNET-ZERO" isn't active on a router?
@chukwudithankgod36194 жыл бұрын
Thank u all for this wonderful video. My question is, what if you are to make one for 32 hosts, and without adding the gateway and broadcast address, you'll have total of 34 host. And now you will have 2 bit under 32 in the chart table, to add it to /26, which is /28, instead of 3 bit under 64 in the chart table. Am I gonna have wrong answer to at the end?

One question how do we know how many computers there are per network? Also you might want to explain why the leading ones when say 30 is big enough to accommodate 20 hosts. The reason I figured out is bc the 1s in the subnet mask MUST all be continuous. You might want to mention that.
