Gaming laptops sucks as work machines - as a dev we got a Lenovo Thinkpad P16v - the quality and built like a battleship. Our phones are BYOD - you just need to enroll it into MS Intune to access company resources.

@EastCharmer22 сағат бұрын
I have another video explaining what the config file has. And this is how it's done realistically at work. Do you expect to enter all the commands manually when deploying hundreds of switches? That is prone to error and extremely inefficient

"Such good videos! Keep up the good work! I'm a little late to this one, but I think one of the biggest things lacking in those seeking to get into IT is soft skills. I've been doing this for a long time, and I can't tell you how many times people have come up to me, telling me how refreshing it is to have me provide IT services. They say the last IT people were rude, too quiet, or never responded at all. At the end of the day, the people I provide IT support for-they are the customers! Treat them with professional courtesy and enable them to solve some of their own problems by teaching them how to fix some of their issues. You don't have to go crazy with it, but show them that you care. And with those who give you attitude, understand that they may be having a bad day. Keep your cool. Sympathize with them and reassure them that you will do everything you can to get them working. All of this is to say: know how to talk to people and don't belittle them. They will appreciate you so much more, and you will have a long-lasting, satisfying career."
@JJFlores19716 сағат бұрын
Well said! Soft skills are definitely important especially in customer-facing roles. Its something I learned rather quickly in my first IT job 6 years ago. You can be the best technician in the world, but it doesn't mean anything if you can't effectively communicate with the people you are supporting.

Perhaps PuTTY was "traditionally" used (mostly) on Windows systems for ssh, but now that WIndows has OpenSSH built in, you can do ssh from the command line in Windows in the same manner as Linux or macOS. The cable shown at 6:11 should be re-terminated. The plastic casing of the cable should be inside the connector for extra strength. Mentioning Plenum vs Riser cable would be a good addition to the video. My only other suggestion would be to use your video editing software to reduce the background noise. Well done, overall.

Ma'am bagohan lang po ako sa cisco my tanong lang ako don sa configuration. Isang swicth lang ba yung e configure tapos mag sync na yung configuration sa ibang switch pag nag stack na? Or e configure isa2x yung mga swicth with same configuration bago mag stack?
@EastCharmer2 күн бұрын
Great question!
@vhadzdansalanКүн бұрын
@EastCharmer pag tinanggal ba Yung master switch may sasalo ba sa mga member na switch at Yung configuration ba d mawawala since na tanggal na Yung master?

Hello, Thanks for your informative videos. After the pandemic, many companies switched to a hybrid work environment. Within the scope of the smart office work environment, different users can sit at a table due to the hotdesk seating arrangement. What kind of structure would you recommend to establish in such an environment? Thanks in advance.
@EastCharmer3 күн бұрын
Hello there! Ah yeah the Hybrid environment is tricky to setup. Ok for hotdesk, I would recommend using Thin Clients because they're easier to manage with just the programs that the users need especially if they're using mostly web-based systems. You can just setup up a browser and everyone can use them. Easier for IT to maintain coz it's locked down to what they need
