This could've plausibly been retconned in 2010 when Carol returned. She had already shilly-shallied about having an abortion and she left in 1999, having cut off Dan and Bianca. It wouldn't have been unrealistic if she had not gone through with the abortion after all and had the child, and returned with the kid in tow in 2010 without Dan ever knowing about it.

Coco Pops she was 4months it's becoming a person at that stage so it's not fine. If you become pregnant through horrific circumstances or find the child has something wrong where they will have no quality of life then yes but not because you get cheated on.
