Terry was so unlikeable and repulsive at first, but he really evolved into a more decent character, yet still flawed. It's strange when you compare this era of EE to the current as it seems characters now are designed to fit very formulaic molds. Back then the characters just felt more like people.

Legit...Phil became more accepting with the lgbt community than when he had a crisis finding out Ben was gay...I think the era back then felt more real compared to now in eastenders, now everyone just considers being gay as normal and acceptable.

Yeah Terry Raymond was a nasty piece of work and an abuser during his early appearances it's quite similar to Billy Mitchell early appearances and kind of like Jim Branning too. When did Terry had a personality transplant into a loveable soft clown.
