I'm planning to order my 1st Jeep, the 2025 Wrangler Sports 2 door manual transmission when it becomes available to order later this year. 🚙

Manual transmission owner here. Save the manuals! Here's a tip tho: the gearing on the manual is way too tall. With the weight savings on the 2 door, it may not be terrible, but if you go to tire sizes any bigger than 33', you'll absolutely need a regear. I drove my Sport on 3.45 gear ratio for almost a year after getting 35s on it and only saw 5th gear if I was on the interstate going faster than 70 mph. Sixth gear was entirely useless. I don't know your financial situation, but if you can afford it, I'd recommend upgrading to a Willys for the 4.10 gears. Again, this is just been my experience driving a sport on 35s. Happy trails!

I’m picking up my extreme recon Rubicon on Monday with Lindsey. I noticed a change on the website today. I have an automatic transmission with 4.88 gearing. When I bought it, you could only get it with an automatic transmission. Now you can only get it with a manual transmission. 🤷‍♂️ I remember on one of your videos, talking about doors off mirrors kit and that you can’t use them with the tube doors. When you watch the video on the JEEP website at the very end, it shows you the doors off mirrors with the Mopar tube doors. Not sure how that works. Any ideas?

I paid just about $40k out the door with my JLU Sport in 2022. A Rubicon would have been at least $10k more. Not counting tires, I've spent about $5,000 between wheels (Willys takeoffs), a regear, lift, rock rails, spare tire relocation, and shocks. So I saved on paying interest on $10k, and was able to build it the way I wanted. I could have waited for a Rubicon XR the same year but wouldn't have been able to get a manual transmission and it wouldn't be _mine,_ which was important to me. I still have plans for it (replaced fender flares, higher quality lift, front and rear bumpers, etc), but at the end of the day, it'll be _my_ Jeep where there's none other on the road quite like it.
