It gets thick because of the acid in the Kool aid mix reacting with the protein in sweetened condensed milk. Just like the reaction of lime juice and sweetened condensed milk when making key lime pie

This sorta reminds me of a family recipe my family makes, called pistachio pudding pie. All we do is mix cool whip, pistachio pudding mix, and drained pineapple chunks together and dump it in a graham cracker crust! My mom and great grandmom liked putting chocolate jimmies/sprinkles over the top too 😋I think it would be neat to see you try it on here if that sounds interesting to you! Its very delicious, one of my favorite desserts. Very pretty for easter too!

Hello, I don't know what the ingredients of kool-Aid are, but if there is any kind of acid, it will make the condensed milk thicken. Here in my country it is very traditional to mix condensed milk with lemon (or passion fruit) and heavy cream to make mousse and thickens a lot because of the acidity of the fruits. Another very interesting thing, if you put only condensed milk in the blender and beat it for a few minutes, it will also be super thick and I have no idea why hahaha. Love you.
