I was not expecting an acknowledgement of country at the beginning of a video about a weird ass 90s pc game. Pretty neat

I also really hate the movement in the land of time, just as much as I'm sure everyone does. However, there's a way easier way to get the passcode for the computer rather than translating the answer to the riddle. you don't need to translate the language at all. instead, if (while you are there) you go into one of the extra rooms in the temple of the land of dreaming, you are shown a vision of the exact passcode for the computer.

Nice video, as aways, but the god of war comparison seemed pointless. Yes, it does not take life and death in consideration as much, but it is because it didn't try to, it was focused in something else entirely. Trying to make your point with it kinda seemed like comparing apples to oranges and kinda fells like it could be summarized in "mainstream media usually doesn't talk about it".

Nah but God of War sucks so its fun to dunk on

it was used mostly as a contextual example. That's why i (at least tried to) position it as a tone setting release, something more representative of trends and general attitudes within the industry and culture (also why i used excerpts from reviews of the time, to represent those same sentiments from material outside of the text). i think it not trying to take life and death as seriously, as you mention, is precisely the point, generally video games and the people playing them didn't. I suppose you're right, ultimately i could've summarised it as you have in your comment, but the juxtaposition between the two games stuck out a lot as i was playing them both, and i thought it was a good way to provide some sort of legitimate basis or "proof" for what i was asserting, that being Eastern Minds value in it's treatment of mortality. I figured that to some, taking a game that looks as basic as eastern mind does as seriously as i do in the video, could read as me 'trying to hard', or 'reading too much into it', and so by making the comparison to god of war, i could demonstrate that i wasn't reading too much into it, and that something that looks and sounds like eastern mind can still have as much value as i purport in the video. I get where you're coming from tho! I guess i just wanted to cover my bases, and tbh i though it was fun to compare the two. Hopefully that all makes sense, thanks for the comment!

cool game to cover; i like your work a lot! however, i feel like your volume is so much lower than any other channel i follow. is there any way you could raise it just a smidge for the next one?
@Nafan__2 жыл бұрын
yes definitely! i do have trouble with audio levels just because my computer can be very inconsistent with audio output for whatever reason, so i tend to air on the side of caution with the knowledge that people can turn the volume up. But, i'll put some more work into testing the next video on multiple devices just to get a better idea and hopefully that will fix the problem, thanks for the feedback! :)
