I waited to comment on this story, I needed time to absorb what I was hearing. So I slept on it. I've followed the BK case rather closely, as I live 30 miles from Moscow. This is most certainly one of the most horrific cases in the state of Idaho's criminal history. As I watched my TV intently, BK there at the table. The first thing that came to mind was "I hope that guy is bolted down." Now my opinion on the hearing. First and foremost, I watched the judge almost fall asleep, not to mention he was bracing his head up almost the entire hearing looking so bored. I truly believe the judge has already made his mind up on his rulings. As for the defenses motions.... A lot of unexcusable nonsense. She should tread lightly. You know there is an attorney review board. If she continues to waste the Court's time she could be disbarred. Now let's talk about the female prosecutor from Moscow. As I watched her address the issues I must say... I found myself kocking my head more than a few times. She seems very inexperienced to handle a hearing such as this. Once again the judge seemed uninterested in what these lawyers had to say. And that's all I have to say.

With all due respect, as a lay person who understands the material better than the one overseeing the hearing, I am horribly embarrassed to view this. PS-- Mr. Kohberger has had enough time to study, pass the bar, and become an attorney by now. If this were my loved one, I'd be livid and highly motivated. Again, I say this with all due respect to each and everyone involved. I know we can all be better than this. I encourage all folks everywhere to be the best that they can possibly be and never accept anything less... I say this with deep sadness in my heart. I've learned to love folks without malice. I also have a clear conscience. I know it's the unconditional love I feel inside me that gives me the strength, and for that I am very grateful. I can love each one while viewing and still make this observation, which is what I am doing... with all due respect.

Hampikian’s Idaho Innocence Project lab attracts some of the most challenging DNA cases from around the world. A national organization dedicated to freeing the wrongfully convicted through DNA testing, the Idaho Innocence Project at Boise State has become known worldwide and has been instrumental in DNA testing for criminal cases. He brings this knowledge and passion to classes he teaches like “Wrongful Convictions”, “Forensic Biology” and “Human/Viral Coevolution.” The subjects attract new students to his lab each year. In addition to his responsibilities with the Idaho Innocence Project, Hampikian is also the Director of the Forensic Justice Project and the Boise State University Wastewater Epidemiology Laboratory as well as a charter fellow of the National Academy of Inventors. Extra note: Dave Henry, an intern turned employee in Hampikian’s lab, explained, “I learned a lot about how to deal with people experiencing wrongful conviction, how to help them stay positive, and how to keep forward motion, even when everything is pushing against you.” I love learning ❤

A DNA match does not provide certainty that the individual committed the crime. DNA is only used as supporting evidence, there has to be other evidence to go with it, on it's own a conviction is unsafe. In this case there is other circumstantial evidence, which when put together with the DNA evidence should be enough for a jury to be swayed. It boils down to the probability of the DNA being there, combined with the circumstantial evidence, when you put it all together it doesn't look good for Brian K. Especially when no other likely suspect is in the picture.

Yes, overwhelming circumstantial. Several different cctv cameras obtaining a while Elantra driving around the scene before & after the murders & parking at the proximal time before & then after, the parking adjacent to the scene. There as a title search performed on o see how many like year, white Elantras existed in that search criteria & there was only one other which was titled as salvaged as wrecked where they asked the person & the no longer had the wreckage for several months. Phone data placing him in the area circling the scene & turning the phone off etc etc during the time the murders were committed. Social platforms: Bryan’s remarkable inquiry re the case. Although the girls were not part of his social environment, he kept their photos & followed 2 of them & had been denied when he tried to get a date w one of them. He also stated he had never been there. His alibi is mush. He can’t show he was not in the area. And during his classes he had been known to brag that he could get away with a murder in detail.
