The most disturbing thing to me is that the jury was NOT in the room at the time, so Judge Boyce did NOT have to tip toe around and tolerate the ridiculous language and behavior of defense attorney Archibald, yet he did NOT immediately admonish him. A judge is responsible for setting the tone of acceptable behavior in the courtroom during a trial. Judge Boyce's failure to reign in the increasingly disrespectful, condescending, and at times, abusive tone and treatment of witnesses over the past week, by both defense attorneys, is slap in the face to our justice system.

The state's attorney is so good! When she asked if Chad had told the insurance agent if his new wife had children. The agent explained the form and the question on the form and that Chad answered that his new wife did not have children. The attorney asked for a moment and allowed that answer to resonate in the room before she dismissed the witness. Powerful.

The reason it plays the same part twice is because the first time is out the presence of the jury. Then after the Court has it all sorted out the jury returns and they have to go through it again in front of the jury.

Do not understand the judges ruling. Mr. P is testifying about a recording, what was said in the recording. The recording is a document of his conversation, therefore, it should be admitted. Agree, that characterizing the witness as a snitch by Archibald was a mistake.

It is sure looking like the defence is trying to put all the blame on Chad and that Lori was just a follower. I’m sure that will come out on the closing arguments. Lori was led astray. I’m not sure what kind of defence they have otherwise? Blame everything on Alex. He did all the killings and is dead now. 😮

I’m sure it was Chad that led the entire thing and that Alex was his tool. Lori was a direct conspirator though and so nothing the defense tries will save her.

I'm LDS and it's not appropriate for members to "look for more meaningful beliefs". We are frequently warned about people like Chad and Lori. We are always told to"be aware of false prophets" That's why it's so surprising to me that people fell for their crap. Even giving blessings over the phone isn't something we do in the LDS church. Never. I know one of the women who was part of their group and I can't wrap my head around how she they fell for it.

It's because the judge removes the jury, they go through it, then the judge rules on what's allowed and they bring the jury back and have to go through it all again in presence of the jury

How dare this DA We would also like it if Lori hadn’t killed everybody. You should of told her to do the ONLY thing that would if gotten her any support. HONESTY!!!! Turned on Chad and begged for mercy from everyone. However it’s clear she’s unfortunately not even on drugs! That would of made it somewhat easier to handle. I could NEVER hurt my kids or anyone else’s! Or even an animal. These people are sick and I am waiting to see them pay
