I love them!! I've been enjoying this book too. Last year I did a funny collage on the water/mountain scene that u almost used for the butterflies. I put a giant David Bowie head coming from the water and 2 killer whales jumping over his head into the water, an owl flying over with a beach ball and I used an image from the book of 2 frightened ppl in a small boat that was on the shoreline. ..also found a huge hand giving the thumbs up that came out f the water in front of Bowie (it was perfect) ... pretty funny. I just love your work..I'm glad to see u back and also happy you took a lil time for u! TFS!

How nice to see you! Creativity on a schedule works for some people, and not so much for others, and that's totally okay. It's way more important to take care of yourself than to produce at a pace that might suck the joy right out. I love and appreciate your channel, your art, and your personality, and I look forward to each new presentation. Wishing you all the best!

Yes we all need to recharge, I've been doing something similar myself... Our creativity can wander off from time to time and there is nothing wrong with that, making videos is time consuming and if you are holding down a full time job as well it can get very overwhelming and we just need to stop and unwind.... So glad you are feeling better and what fun collages you've created from this wonderful book... I have it too 😉😉 and your challenge is a fab one... If I feel like doing this sometime in the future I will definitely tag you to let you know. Its lovely to see you back whenever you are ready to create... Take care of you now... hugs Elaine xx

Fridge Man turned out nicely. The Butterfly Tub is amazing with the butterflies stark against the white. I like them. When we were little, my brother and I were up north for our family’s annual 2-week vacation on our aunt and uncle’s little farm. For some reason, there was a ceramic deep sink on the floor of the cow barn. My brother and I found every frog we could, and put them into the sink. After lunch, we came back to the barn to see every frog hopping everywhere except in the sink. They escaped! It was a cow pie/frog extravaganza.

I love watching your process Rosie, it is always a pleasure to watch. As I am watching I am thinking along with you. That fruit page I loved and saw Fruit Man had fruit in his fridge and imagined him as a benevolent superhero throwing fruit down to people… so loved the twist when you made him a baddie instead attacking a women with household utensils, and thought that a woman of this era probably felt at times like that she was! I listen to a great English podcast called Art Juice. Two artists who talk about all things art and life as artists/creatives podcasters and that need for a break. I agree with you, I don’t think you need to push yourself either, it should be enjoyable for you. Enjoy your summer, I am in Australia and it is winter here!

I'm glad you're taking care of yourself! I luckily survived a terrible fight with covid two years ago and didn't really do much art at all for almost a year. I just didn't have it in me. When I finally started doing art again someone suggested that it might mean that I maybe I was on the mend. So I understand needing to pace yourself.

'Slump' has a negative connotation, when what we crafters are really doing is 'recharging'. It takes as long as it takes - a week or several years. The mountains are calling and you must go.

Hi Rosie... I myself was out of town without internet service for a while due to a family health emergency, so I missed you in a different way. Was delighted when I saw your video come up today now that I am able to enJOY my present moments in a refreshing way. After listening I wanted to respond and encourage you to 'let your inner artist out' as your life unfolds before 'you'. In the doing I am sure your cup will overflow and we will drink of that which comes our way at 'our' appointed time 'whenever' your videos come across our paths... I am been inspired by your 'gift' and since it is a 'gift' I receive it as such... not something I expected, (nor are you obligated), but as something which influences me and inspires me to let my own 'inner' artist out when I am 'moved' by the 'gift' of creativity I too have discovered in my elder years. I have learned 'in the doing' the art often creates itself as I go with the creative flow that rises up from within. I am surprised and delighted by what comes forth at its own appointed time from within. Be at peace... you owe us nothing and I myself have no 'expectations', that you 'should, ought to, or are supposed to' create for the sake of others, me in particular *wink *wink as none of us can control our day to day circumstances nor force our talents without damaging them or ourselves to some degree. To have such an attachment to outcomes in our day to day life (or lives of those about us), robs us both of the true joy our gift was intended to bring forth. May you enJOY your gift and rest in the knowing many of us are drinking from the overflow at our own appointed time... (((hugs))) Even so I appreciate and respect your desire to follow through with the goal you set for yourself, not just for your sake but to be a blessing to others as you share of yourself during these precious moments during my own journey in time....

Hi Rosie! I was so excited to see a new video from you today! I've been subscribed to your channel for several months now. Discovering your KZbin channel inspired me to get back into collage art after taking a long break from doing anything creative. I've learned a lot of new techniques from you. Also, I have made up my mind to get the cut out and collage book you used in this video. I almost asked for it for Christmas last year, now I wish I had. I'm looking forward to seeing what other collages you make with it.
