Easton, PA: LANTA, Trans-Bridge, and NJ Transit Buses! - TrAcSe 2024

I haven't been here since 2012, and so much has changed. LANTA Buses in Easton went from terminating at Centre Square (Northampton St) to a newly built Easton Intermodal Transit Center (3rd Street and Ferry Avenue).
ENHANCED BUS SERVICE (EBS) Was introduced since the last time I was in Lehigh Valley as well. This video shows the blue route, but at some point I will go to Bethlehem to cover the Green Route as well.
This is also the FIRST time I caught NJ Transit's routes 890 and 891 on video!

For some reason I'm not a fan of Gillig, but I haven't figured out why.

Theyre...odd little fellows. They're very similar yet dissimilar to your flyers. To me theyre extremely generic, which is why i dont enjoy them all that much.

There cool looking to me, but I hear you though. My problem with them, especially the flat front ones, when a car crashes into to the, these get totaled easily, with the face of them ripped off completely, ridiculous how there built, using cheap garbage material.

My only gripe with this transit is, what's the point of having the busses say Southbound, Eastbound, Westbound? Why not just say exactly where they're going? Like Nazareth Plaza? or Airport, like Septa does?

I appreciate that question, allow me to explain. First of all, I want to preface this by saying SEPTA destination signs are by far THE WORST for someone who doesn't already have all the locations of Philly memorized. For example on the XH/H where both the north and south ends are the same, and there is another more direct bus at both ends (16) that end up at the same places, but the route they take are different. Unless you already know the exact route the line takes, the destination signs are kinda useless. The H goes West from Broad and Erie, and operates via Mt. Pleasant and Cedarbrook Plaza, XH also goes west and operates via Washington Lane, and the 16 goes North and operates via Broad Street. All three of those buses from Broad-Erie only say "Cheltenham-Ogontz" and nothing tells you where those buses actually end up. Same could be said about 57/47 from 5th-Godfrey, K and J from Arrott Transportation Center, I could go on THAT SAID. LANTA signs more closely match their respective timetables, where they show northbound/southbound as well as list key points on the route. You don't have to take a "guess" on which bus you need, when it's right there in your face. Especially at major transfer points, where you need to decide in the moment which bus you need.
