Thank you so much for featuring me, finally ! And no hatred for these NGs ??? What a trick ! And since these are my favorite Orion VIIs since I was a kid, these can make a legend to being one of nice designed MTA buses. And these are now seen to be the most diversed, since it was ordered in over 800 in quantity. I didn't even expect them to replace that much of the RTS' back in the day, and over 800 of them they ordered are a waste of money and resulted them into budget cuts. At least, these buses have more comfort to being in the MTA. And not a single model of these can ever catch on fire. Anyways, happy holidays and happy new year 2022.

The Next Gen Orion VII order called for 850 buses. They retired the 1990-1991, 1993-1994 TMC RTS's as well as the 1993-1995 Orion V's. When the order was finished, Castleton Depot ended up with the most at 111 buses (3965-4019, 4245-4278 [Spectrums], and 4431-4452. The depot with the fewest was Yukon at 48 (4092-4139).

Now thats' a excellent Bus review on the Orion VII Next Gen . 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥At first I really like them But I did'nt have no choice but to ride on them .The Orion VII Next-Gen are reliable Bus during bad weather when most Buses can't go on the road Like the Artic's Buses. At the of day love them or hate them as long they get me from point A to point B. I'll ride them.

They slowly grew on me. When I was younger I hated them but within the past years I started having a little respect for them even though I prefer the Old Gens

@@kalelc1996 I was the exact same way as a child. I hated the NGs b/c of you and Knuckles. They slowly grew on me starting from 2020. P.S: The 2008 units in MJQ also had the SBS Scheme and were the first units to get them, including 3800. They were used on the M34/A-SBS until the LFSAs took over. Then, were unwrapped eventually.

Yeah these sound cool and look cool, but the og hybrids easily beat these for many reasons: 1. They sound way better 2. More classier 3. You can hear the ogs have more diesel-ish sound, the 1st gen having the best diesel electric sound

Hey, great job on the review, man! I didn't really like these buses either at first, but they grew on me overtime as well. Of course I will still always prefer the old gens, but it's always good to have alternatives I guess. The only reason I still kind of like these buses is due to the bassy HVAC and moaning sound when the bus stops, stays still, and that very loud ENGINE FAN when the bus accelerates really fast. That loud ENGINE/Transmission fan is one of the few reasons I still somewhat enjoy these buses.

My first time on the next gen was on the B47. At first, I thought the back was funky, but they grew on me. I also seen them in Toronto's TTC in 2009. It's a shame that they are retiring soon. I will miss the design and the smooth take off, of course depending on the driver.

Yessir Kal-El! As much as I don’t like the NGs, I still tuned in! As we all know the NGs are slowing starting to leave the MTA, by the time I am writing this comment(12/26) the NGs that have retired are 3871, 3899, 3909, 3968, 3971, 3973-3974, 3989, 4109, 4135, 4138, 4331, 4369, 4372, 4424, 4436, 4515, 4538, 4542, 4556, 4560-4561, 4564 and 4568. I actually kind of will be missing these by a little bit ima be honest with you once they are gone. Over here in NICE, all of our 1700s which is the 2008-2009 Orion VII NG CNGs are all officially retired, not only were these the 2nd last ex-Long Island buses to survive under NICE but they were also the last buses in Nassau County to feature the push tape stop requests! This is something very unexpected that happened in like October of this year, 3 ex-Yukon SBS NGs from Manhattanville were unexpectedly transferred to Queens, 4263 and 4265 were transferred to Queens Village depot and 4248 was transferred to believe it or not... JFK depot! I actually rode 4265 twice under Queens Village on the Q46.

Only good thing about driving these is that they pick up. The mirrors suck and the kneeler is in the worst possible area. Can’t forget banging your left knee, they need to retire these.
