This was so fun to watch and listen to the absolutely love jam sessions at the end when you were going into a drum solo, it cut off too short I thought you were about to go IINNNNNNNNN😂❤️❤️ Much love, Matt!!! I want to see another reggae jam like as in Jamaican night at the bar! I always love seeing your earlier, drumming when you would have reggae interpretations and sessions, those were awesome and I definitely miss those

You should continue playing with people who you may not deem "up to snuff" with you. It's fun, gives others experience, and each person provides a different interpretation of music and how it evokes emotion for you to expand upon.

From one drummer to another your kick patterns are what keep the beat solid! You have creativity with both hands but I feel like your kick is right on time and placed either on the downbeat or solid within the given measure EVERYTIME (cause most drummers lose the beat and start adding in fills after a few repetitions lol) so refreshing to see bud

I'm a drummer and so here's my own opinion. Great timing. Great groove. Still though, too busy! Too musically crowding! Want to like it musically. Instead I like it for idea fuel, but not musically satisfying for me though. Heavy handed, hi hat crowded, busy cluttering. Anyone disagree?

Upon watching again, I must add that I really enjoy his fill work. Very fun and exciting and does undo my former comment a slight context wise. I still prefer more musical restraint but his fill work is really inspired and exciting. I cannot deny that above all

@@drummusician a fair recommendation and the most apt recommendation I get for my comments on this platform. I'll be honest, because your advice invites me so directly, I can be overly critical at times but your mentioning of a more moderate performance in your catalogue shows me my error of jumping to quick and sweeping judgement. That said my last comment above was me acknowledging what I had infact enjoyed about the initial video. I'm always happy to share my thoughts, negative or otherwise but it's the response from the direct members of this drum channel that have invited me convincingly to be more measured and considerate in my review of uploaded content. As a result I am more than happy to reveal here now my overall satisfaction with this drum channel and it's uploads. I've the luxury of free and instant lesson inspiration, and when I'm offering a critical view for arguments sake I'm encouraged and supported still. I must stress that I love this channel and it's uploads. Furthermore, my wish to share my own thoughts uncensored is out of that same joy but I do want to demonstrate my respect for all musical views outside of my initial direct comments. I'm offering juxtaposition within the discourse more than seeking validation. I fact, I'm not sure I'm right but I'm happy to test my theories here with my peers

@@drummusician I'll check your content out and thanks for not understanding me as opposition. I come across so in the comment section but your advice to check the rest of the recorded session is the advice I'm taking now. Thanks for advising, I'm here to learn mostly.
