They use a hydraulic version of this at the dealership. Having too much sticker out on OP-1 or uneven cut would cause a larger end the fitting may not go over. Clean & taper the inside of the cut tubing and make sure it is square. Thanks for the video!

It’s seems like every video I see making 37° flares for AN line use a single flare, does it really matter single vs double, and maybe that’s why your tube nut doesn’t want to fit over the flare?

@Steven Corrin great question. I am not sure what effect a double flare would have on a 37 degree flare. As far as the fitting goes, I had done several with no problems. I used this one to show how I handled it. I think it might have had something to do with how soft the aluminum lines are. To be fair , I did not have to take hardly anything off and as of now none of the lines leak. Hope that helps.
