Interesting discussion on the last hand about fast bets. Can usually be very indicative of a bluff for the same reasons. More of a river cbet with AK (for eg.) on board changing cards. They’re not really thinking about their hands and just betting for no obvious reasons. Bluff raises are much harder to find that fast for sure though.

Hand 2 is like the nicest spot, vs a Whale.He's just gonna blast it. Easiest small cbet, XC-XC spot. This is a massively profitable spot to be in so folding at any point is out of the question. Running into KQs is w/e really. Hand 3 I would play more polar strategy OTF and X this, but a small cbet seems reasonable, and OTT a small bet seems reasonable, but X is fine. Kind of a hand where best strategy isn't really down to you but your villain. Hand 4 I could talk about for hours - General points are 1) Preflop can have a Flat range, I'd say mix it with sort of hands you'd want to flat BU with, could even use a similar strategy, just you're OOP, also need to 3B too, so I'd mix a lot of these Ax hands as Flat/3B, same with Suited broadways, SC, PP etc. Lot of nuance goes into strategy, but remember if you are 4B to a good online 100bb sizing, you'll have good SPR to play postflop, so these are sort of hands I'd fold, whereas IP should really go massive like 3x, and suited broadways don't play as well vs massive sizings when deep, rather call a PP. So I'd say range construction where you mix more of these hands + some suited broadways + medium to low PP + premiums is strong it enables you to adapt to various sizing schemes PF (E.g. Face a small 4B, we fold this suited Ax9-A6, A3 type hands, call rest / Face a larger sizing we fold Suited broadways and call PP). Also not even gonna get into 5B Ranges. And 2) - Postlop 50% cbet into 2 people with 3rd pair OOP to both of them to me is a fold, your Ace has a problem of reverse implied odds, having to be OOP to both is a problem, realising equity is hard. I do know Live Regs cbet too much MW, but generally I think I'd rather Raise > Call, aggression will always make more money. Also advantage of raising is our hand is the type of hand that relies on implied odds/realising equity, Raising will allow more equity realisation potential, but also it helps build the pot so if you do backdoor the Flush, you got piles of cash in there whereas if you just call, and do get to see a River you will find it hard to really win a big pot. Hand 5 - Again vs Recs, use polar, could bet this but this deep use OB. I'd rather X and Delay Cbet and raise some Probes. As played, he has a Set at best, but Turn size seemed more like a Jx type hand, I'd just block. And vs Raise, call up to a pot size raise. (Where we get like 30%, any higher I think the price is too much). Nice hands, check rest later. Hand 6 - I actually like the bluff, good sizing too, it is a bit crazy but on most runouts he is gonna just fold his hand if you go 150-200% OTR. Weazel clearly doesn't like to push these spots but I think they're really profitable in any game, but edge is small and not easily definable, it isn't like say, flopping a good hand and value betting where you make a ton of EV, it is a spot where you're making investments that are a tiny % better than X, which ofc does mean (surprise surprise) that the swings will be larger. Fact that you're backed and not on a limited Bankroll, means taking this spot is worth it every time. If I played Live where I don't really have backing or a deep roll, I'd do what Weazel does and avoid this spot. Enjoyed the hands so far, can't wait to see more dusting off.

Glad hand 2 gets a Hilly D pass! Hand 4 I just wanted to get in with the BB, I generally always 3b/fold but everyone keeps telling me to flat more. Going to experiment and see what I prefer I think. Could definitely fold flop but thought it to be premature although certainly reasonable. Hand 5 idk it's just a bit of a weird one but villain just let me make +ev decisions everywhere so we take those. Hand 6 I really don't like tbh, would prefer a non ace river and I'd definitely blast that, but it just seems like a board I am getting called on a lot. At least I didn't get called by 44 though 😅. Thanks mate.

@@eastyyy22 If you look at 200bb Preflop solves, will see SB build a flat range, maybe not with this combo (this one 3Bs). But you are Live, MW and lot of potential recreational/weak players which is why for a simplification I'd mirror my BU call strategy but slightly alter my 3B strategy.

I would pay off the foreign reg (haven't seen result yet.) For him to have a five, he needs to have checked back a hand containing a five on the flop. Some of those hands like 55 or pair plus draw would bet for protection, or if they were the nuts, they would have bet the flop because he wants 3 streets and he has the nuts. Then he either has to slow-play the flop, *and turn* or he has to float the flop with a hand containing a five and then call the chonky turn bet, not getting a very good price. So I think a stiff five is less likely. The only real fives he should have are pair-and-draw hands, or club draws with the five of clubs. I wouldn't make much of the live tell except what Bart Hansen often says that instant bets when the nuts change are often an indication of weakness. But, this is a well-known tell and often reversed so in this instance I would just disregard it. Another reason to call is he could have just drilled a set of sixes, doesn't care that you could hold a five, and he's merging. So, you are beating some worse hands he might conceivably raise for value, and since he's on the button, he has an overabundance of hands to bluff with. So pay that meaan his mahney, I think.
@eastyyy222 жыл бұрын
I think with 66 he would at least consider his options before raising. Snap raise just felt very, 'I know what I have and I am obviously raising'. That was the main reason I folded.
@hymnofashes2 жыл бұрын
@@eastyyy22 Yeah I tend to put those euro regs on a pedestal, that type of reverse tell is pretty rare. With fish it's often a bluff because they may have resolved to bluff in advance. But with regs the idea is more often to make the guy feel insulted or attacked by your sudden action and therefore get him to level himself into calling, as I would have.
