Here are some ways to get higher rates: - play on difficulty hard - take a crosssection located above a lava lake that connects 4 bridges - spawnproof the area around the farm (not required, but will result in higher rates) - remove islands around the farm - use looting 3 - use a nether fortress located in a soul sand valley If you don't get any skeletons: - make sure that they don't despawn, maybe relocate your other portal, so it's closer to the killing chamber - check that your piglin is still alive and has a nametag

@@Unknownlw24wither flowers. Breed a large number of mobs maybe something like frogs and a spot before you spawn the wither so when they die they become flowers. With a skeletons can spawn on wither flowers but nothing else can

Thanks for the video. I did this on a Bedrock realm in the easiest, fastest configuration, at the closest, non optimal fortress that is covered in netherrack, and it works great. Not record breaking spawn rates, but enough to get the skulls, kill the Wither, get a nether star, and build a beacon. The only minor issue is that the mobs sort of stand on the edge of the exit portal. Eventually they jump into the trident killer, it just take patience.

For anyone wonder an easy way to link portals In the overworld fly over to the place you want to have a portal and build it, stand on top of it to get your exact x and z coords (let’s say 80,8) divide by 8 then fly to a different portal, go to the nether and then go to the divided coords (10,1) and build a portal there and it should link. If you go back through the portal (the one in the overworld) and it places a new portal in the nether just break it and go to the portal u want it should fix it

This is true because soul sand valleys spawn less of mobs that aren’t wither skeletons or blazes causing more of them to spawn

For those still having current issues with the wither skeletons not spawning: I had the same problem where the wither skeletons would see the piglim and run into the portal, but when I spawned in the overworld to my collection system, there were no skeletons or any mobs at all. I have an elytra with plenty of fireworks so time for despawning was not the issue. I decided to connect my MCPE account to the realm and try using two players to both spawn the mobs in the nether and overworld, and this seemed to resolve the issue just fine. Please also keep in mind that I am on 1.20 and on a realm, and I suspect this farm may only work for single player worlds. So, I would recommend getting minecraft pocket edition for $7 to have this farm work, rather than through windows at $10-$13.

Make a 1 block wide hallway with a hole right above where he should be standing. Place a trap door in the hole and make sure it's closed. Run across the hallway with him following, pass the trap door quickly turn around and open it. The piglin will see it as a full block and fall in

I’m thinking of using a magma block at the portal so they take damage when they go through and don’t despawn. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to try making them drop before entering the portal and make a kill chamber there

Wear gold bro. Take some gold ingots with you. Throw them where you want the pigletpiglins to stand then once they pick up the gold you could push them to the exact spot, then just block them in easiest ways to trap a piglin

What about a two player AFK setup where one stays in the nether and the other at the kill site? Could also build a trident killer and an auto storage sorter. Those stone swords will overflow quickly

Did this as well using a fortress that was burried in netherrack. And made my afk spot about 20 blocks away down the bridge. right next to the second portal. I can look down the tunnel and see the spawning portal from a small glass room. Not sure about spawn rates, but I've gotten about 25 skulls in a few hours of doing nothing.

The more you spawnproof, the better. But of course, don't spawnproof the bridges where you want them to spawn.

It works in a burried fortress for me. No lava lake, nothing special. Made the spawn portals, a trident killer overworld portal. Made the afk spot 20 blocks down the bridge, using two accounts on a realm, works great. Wont break any records, but got 25 kulls in a few hours for afk on Bedrock

Built it in my survival world, but no wither skellies have made it to the kill chamber. Double-checked I built it right, second portal is as close as it can be, and besides, I fly, so I get to the chamber in seconds, then did some creative testing and discovered something very odd. Naturally-spawned wither skeletons go into the portals, but don't come out the other side; they just vanish. Ones I spawn myself, via eggs, do come out the other side. Repeated multiple times with exactly the same results. I have no clue why this would be the case, but it's rendering a rather clever farm concept useless, which is frustrating.

Is the portal in a negative y lvl? If so, nothing would spawn(naturally spawned)

Would test this in creative to be sure - but what I did is instead of building the player portal (the one you would use to get back and forth) 20 blocks away, build it above the ones where the your afk platform is and just link it. Since you spawn in the same overworld chunk they shouldn’t despawn. If you test and it works let me know. Thanks

Link your portals. Take the coords of the portal in the overworld and divide by 8 for both x and z coords. Naturally generated portals don't generate in the exact right location. If you make sure it's exactly, you will always go through the right portal

Mine is working on a Bedrock 1.20 realm and all I did was toss it up in the nearest fortress. I'm doing two player afk. Maybe I got lucky, but my fortress is completely burried in netherrack.
