I built this on my survival realm. I got rid of the lava underneath and added the item sorter from your gold farm to the bottom it. I just made it sort into 5 chests for wither skulls, coal, bones, arrows and blaze rods. It works great. Awesome tutorial 👍

@@drkjosh-_- Remove the glass above it and they will spawn. Also place buttons at the chute you want them to fall in, because they will think it's a solid block they can walk on. It sometimes might take a while, but sooner or later they will walk in. (it works better anyways, because I had mostly blazes spawning when building this JC farm..)

This still works great! I missed the lava somehow at first so once I put that in I had no issues. I’m going to set up another trident killer at another spot right behind this one so it works faster. People seem to forget that the chance of dropping wither skulls is so low as it is so this farm is not going to be quick with just one spawn spot! But it works great!

Just want to sat thanks - I've built a few of your farms - they all work well, they're cheap and easy to build and your directions are excellent for making the builds as easy as possible.

Made this in 1.21.51 and it works perfectly. Our "blender" and "basement" sections were below the lava line though, so thank goodness for fire resistance potions. We had many fire resistance potions from our piglin bartering farm -- just added them with some redstone in the brewing stand to make it last for 8 mins instead of 3 mins. Used blocks and gravel to create a little lava-free pocket to build in, and everything worked very well from there. I put up a dispenser with a lever facing out to the lava as a simple garbage disposal for the stone swords. I also set up a simple smelter system (chest connected to furnace with a hopper for input, another chest/hopper going to side of furnace for fuel, last hopper/chest connected to bottom of furnace for output, in case this helps someone). Then I can melt down the gold armor using the bows for fuel. If I run out of bows, I can also use the coal, but there's always so many bows. So this farm is giving us gold nuggets, arrows, bones, coal, leather armor (which I enjoy dying and displaying on armor stands), blaze rods, and of course, wither skulls. Someone mentioned planting wither roses in the spawning spots so that we only get wither skeletons. I looked that up -- it appears only wither skeletons and zombified piglins can spawn on wither roses! I'll try that out once we have some wither roses and I'll try to remember to report back. That sounds like a great idea. Until then, we'll enjoy the extra goodies as well.

I just the previous version of the farm which by looks of it has the same stop just the killing method is an excellent improvement. But I had to remove the glass blocks as no wither skeletons would spawn. What i had to do was put a Hooper clock to trigger 2 pistons so every minute it clear the spawning area. I dont know if I am doing but just in case anyone else have issues. Though great videos i use lots of your farms in my realm.

Love the farm! Didn't have any sunflowers so I used coordinates to try and figure out the south side but nothing was spawning and I was getting worried until I figured out I had the wrong spawn spots and I had to rebuild half the farm. Lesson learned - Don't try and cut corners go get a damn sunflower!

@@Kermieisdagoat yo! I did a few things. First, I swapped the blocks under the glass in the spawn spot with dirt and added wither roses to each. Then, I broke those two glass blocks in the spawner. I also had to mess with how far away from the spawn spot I was. I'd move one single block down or back until I was getting wither skeletons dropping. Once they were spawning, I noticed a lot of them were dying on impact. To prevent them from dying, I added another layer of signs on the opposite side from the other signs we had already put in and added lava on those as well. I had to add blocks to be able to hold the lava just like the other side. I hope it works! The main thing is I HAD TO BE FURTHER AWAY from the spawn spot. Dig a block or two deeper and turn your sound up so you can hear if they're dropping down Edit: be super careful when you dig down to get further away from the spawn spot. I had to block quite a bit of lava out

One thing I just learned, if the closest spawning point is on the block right next to the ladder, or on any of the four blocks near the ladder, pick another spawn point. It makes the farm much harder to build when you keep needing to move where the ladders are.

I dunno about the lava trick working but I was thinking trapping a piglin as bait in the right spot could lure the wither skeletons to rush towards it and fall into the chute and kill chamber. I haven't tested this in bedrock though but I believe it could work

There's a bug. The trident is most likely near the minecart if it did not despawn already.

It’s probably directly next to the minecart because I have had that happen to me many times. Also, see if the minecart is in the collection chest, the trident can break the minecart if it gets to it.

DO NOT USE BUTTONS, USE OPEN TRAPDOORS Mobs don’t see buttons as full blocks anymore, but they do see open trap doors as such. This is a common theme in JC’s newer farms that I’m noticing. It was my first thought as a fix for this farm, and sure enough it went right back to business.

I did everything the same way he did and there is nothing spawning any idea how to fix this? Edit: So guys, if you're having trouble getting them to spawn on the area, I changed mine to leaving the 4 blocks under where the mobs spawn. This meant I also had to change the funnel system a bit. Whereever south was, I decided to add a 2×2 space of trapdoors with the funnel system Jc built and now my farm works perfectly. I don't know why it wasn't working with the glass block method. If you want more skelly spawns too it was highly worth it to put wither roses on dirt for the 4 spawning blocks. I have 35 Wither skulls after making these changes.

A tip for building any farms in the Nether, invisibility potion works really really well! Because these farms usually extend to a big exposed area that is frequent with ghast, so you wouldn't have to worry getting blown off! This works for other mobs too (just don't open any chest near a piglin). But beware, magma cubes can still hurt you despite them not being able to see you, endermen can still get agrod if you look at them, Hoglins can smell you if you get too close, and lastly at a very close range blaze CAN see you and will try to melee you to death. And remember, you are truly invisible only when you're not wearing any armor, so safety is still crucial! (Bringing fire resistance potion is highly recommended) And also, being invisible doesn't mean they won't notice you if you hit any of them-

Followed to the T, I’ve built your other wither farms but in other versions obv. I built this one and I slabbed 100x100 around my kill chamber. Not one thing has spawned in the past 30mins and I’ve switched from peaceful to hard about 5 times. Still can’t get it to work even tho before I had wither skelly spawning in the glass panes

You need to be 24-30 blocks away for them to spawn. If you have a trident killer the kill chamber can be higher up giving you more room for additional mechanics. Right?

So can someone tell me how to only spawn withers? Blazes are destroying my farm as when the spawn the won't go through the lava and it traps the Skellys above them so the never drop. Any ideas? I usually perfer to use all observers instead of red stone torches. So i have a way inside and I don’t have to worry about my trident despawning accidentally on my realm. Since observers don’t trigger the door to get in to constantly open and close like a torch would.

It was tricky on survival. Paranoid I slabbed out a safe platform above the lava at base of pillar. 37 elevation was critical for spawn point. Lots of blaze spawns but if I can snag 3 heads I’ll farm wither roses for upgrade later.

Its worth noting that blazes tend to stay at the level of the player so the afk platform should be at the same level as the trident killer for best efficiency. Also, magma cubes can affect the cap and get stuck in the walls. You can add powdered snow in the walls in several places and add another layer of blocks to kill the large ones and make them fall into the killer.

Ok I finished the farm and I have no idea what you’re talking about the rates I’m getting are terrible. I’ve afkd for 30 minutes and came back to 10 measly pieces of coal, which is what I made this farm for in the first place.

I couldn't get this to work. I slabbed nearly everything but not a single mob spawned inside the farm. The spawn rate was pretty good in the first testing phase using the panels.

Jc can I have ur advice on something ur a far more experienced farm builder than me, I made a huge piglin farm, 4 portals and 4 sorters all connected, now the issue is the xp, I can’t stand in between all 4 sorters and collect all 4 at once I can at most collect 2 at a time is there a way to collect all 4 sources a different way? I tried using a Minecart to push myself between all 4 but I don’t collect all the xp and it lags, ik xp can travel through blocks sometimes so is there a way to take advantage of that and set myself in a certain place to collect it all?

xp can slide across blue ice, so if you can make some sort of transporter for the xp itself it should work

You don't need 4 different sorters. Just connect all 4 portals into the same trident killer. Saves so much time

What's everyone averaging ? I'm getting around 5 skulls per hour. All blocks slabbed, simulation distance, hard mode. I found that standing in a specific spot can impact drops. I stand 3 blocks behind the bottom of the ladder to get the chest access and 2 blocks to the right.

I had a lot of trouble with mobs not spawning. The first two time i built this i built on a bridge that runs east to west and mobs would not spawn after the first wave. I would have to go 50+ blocks away or toggle peaceful mode to reset it. The third time i built it i built on a bridge that runs north to south and it worked perfectly. I tried all of the tips in the comments and nothing helped until i built on a bridge running north to south. I hope this helps someone else as i was getting really frustrated.
