Highly recommend getting a filter wears pre filter to go over your filter. to prevent water damage to the filter. I put one on my Donaldson and it has extended the life 10x further than without it. Highly recommend it. First gens throw tons of water under the hood and the filter sits right at the hood line with the fender which dumps directly into the filter. The pre filter slips over and is 100% water proof and doesn’t restrict any airflow.

I really haven't thought about intakes just yet, still trying to get other things done first. My stock 89 set up i can hit 28 lbs or so if I stand on it. The EGT climbs almost as fast as the boost too. Thanks for another budget project for the working man!

LOL, funny story... I actually woke up frantically during the middle of the night last night when I realized I didn't address this question! Yes, you will just need to buy a 4" to 3" adapter. I would put the adapter right at the turbo so you have as much 4" air flow as possible.

Looks good! I've got a similar setup; in fact I'll post a video of my rig on my channel as well. One suggestion; you might want to look into a pre-filter from Outerwears. Now that you've removed the stock airbox, there's really not much preventing your filter from getting waterlogged. Those pre-filters are made from a hydrophobic material. Well worth it!

Hi, I am new to your channel and I like your approach on doing the presentations. Very well done! I have a 1989 6BT non-intercooled engine that I installed in an old bus (1956 Western Flyer 4x4) and it's connected to a Allison 545. I have the stock D250 harness but I want to convert it to a bare minimum harness to run the Bus, feed the alternator and have the manifold heater. Do you have any suggestion on how to go by doing this? Should I modify the existing harness or should I start with a new harness? Thanks!!

@@decentgarage the super b turbo will have a lot larger turbine wheel than stock idk what series your p pump is if it's a 160 pump or a 180 ect. But timing and fuel will help greatly and living at elevation in the more timing will hurt spool as well . I have a set.of 6x11 injectors laying around that would compliment that turbo well and maybe a afc spring.
