@@annacrabtree5011 You can slow down the video. Just click on the little cog wheel icon on the bottom of the video and you will see how to adjust speed to meet your needs. I have done this with several tutorials and find it helpful. I usually watch the whole thing thru at normal speed first and then adjust to support my learning ability. Hope this helps :)

For now, I'm not aiming at going above beginner's level. I just want to learn simple songs like the ones that you have here and get them perfect. I'm so glad you found this helpful! 🤗 I haven't experienced echoing so I'm not sure what to suggest for that. If it's more of a buzzing sound, you may be able to fix it by playing closer to the frets or by putting new string on your uke.

Hi Joanne, I'm glad you're enjoying the tutorials, thanks! It's ok to only catch 2 or 3 strings on the upstrum. It's definitely more challenging than the downstrum. Over time your strumming will improve and you'll catch all 4 strings more often, but try not to let it frustrate you. It will get easier and more consistent with practice 😊

Thank you, I'm glad you found this helpful! The 2nd pattern can take some time to master. One thing that you can try is to add the upstrums in stages. For example, you can start with D-DU--D-, practice that for a while, then add in the 2nd upstrum for D-DU-UD-, and eventually play the entire pattern. Playing it at a slow tempo will help you to learn it, and once you feel comfortable with it then start bringing the pattern up to speed and apply it to a song. Let me know if you think a tutorial on this would be helpful :) Try to be patient with it...most new things on ukulele take some time to learn and with consistent practice you'll get there!
