It does say that it’s for a jeep, but those are the same ones that I used in the video. I can confirm that they work on model 3 and model Y up to the year 2021.

The hood struts should have nothing to do with the security of the hood driving, That's all on the Latch system

You may want to check before buying. My 2020 Model Y does not use lifts like shown in this video, so unfortunately it will not work for those vehicles. Since the 3/Y share a lot of parts, it is likely that some refreshed versions of the Model Y might be able to use this part.

Strongarm: it says it’s for a Jeep grand Cherokee, but I can confirm it does work for the Tesla model 3 from 2017-2021
