better yet, I had a 2018 Model S that came with lifetime free supercharging and I bought FSD at the time $5K. At the beginning of Feb 2024 I got an email from TEsla, that I CAN Transfer the lifetime free supercharging AND the FSD from my 2018 to the 2024! not only that the car was $35,000 CHEAPER than the 2018. I jumped on it, the 2024 is amazing! far better built and more features by far.

How good are the rear-wheel drive in the snow? Also, what are the downsides to leasing besides not being able to keep the car.
@BeardedTeslaGuy8 сағат бұрын
They do great in the snow. It’s not like the old RWD V8 Chargers of the past. Leasing can be good because you aren’t stuck as tech accelerates. You are restricted on miles though

Got a wonderful '23 M3, but it's too small. Have to get a MY LR AWD and will buy now IF the price is dropped at least 5k. Otherwise I'll wait for the Juniper refresh. I test drove the refreshed M3 and it's great. I'm sure the new features will be on the Juniper as well.

For those quoted lease payments it doesn't look like you are adding "taxes and fees" which would increase the payment, also for the $2,999 down payment example the actual "total drive off" payment is thousands more than the $2,999 due to taxes and fees
@BeardedTeslaGuy8 сағат бұрын
Total taxes and fees in my area bring the payment to $293. Total due at signing is $5k
@pharm308 сағат бұрын
Exactly. The monthly payment is great but not when you putting like 6k in down payment and TTL up front
@rhsalce6 сағат бұрын
@BeardedTeslaGuy $5,000k is alot of money to put down on a lease considering you can't buy the vehicle at lease end, might as well just purchase at the 60 months 0% at that point
@zahf64846 сағат бұрын
Not sure if you know this and new to car shopping, but absolutely no manufacturer advertises price including tax and fees bc that obviously varies based on location. The figures before taxes and fees is how you should compare prices to other cars. When you see a 0 down lease deal somewhere, you still have to pay approximately a couple grand. Happy to help.

How do you know if they are giving you the $7500 tax credit on a lease? It doesn't look like they are on the Model 3. The 3 performance that is $54.9k is only $15 dollars cheaper than the 3 performance that is $55,9k. ($599 vs $615)

Back in Q4 of 2022 I leased a 2022 MY LR @ 36mo./15K mi. Per yr for $840 w/5K down. How times have changed, to the extent that it now costs almost 2/3 less per month 😵💫. These prices are really competitive🤔. I hope CT prices drop like this by EOY 2025 when my MY lease term is up🤘🏻😎. Tesla can afford to offer multiple incentives b/c of all the cash on hand they have, and production/manufacturing costs have dropped. It also helps to be vertically integrated throughout the product line 🤔. The 0 percent financing and tiered 1.99, 2.99 percent depending on term length will be a hit, no other automaker can afford to (or does not want to) offer these incentives.

Cool story
@dvader32632 сағат бұрын
Elon didn't start Tesla and he doesn't own Tesla. He's just a CEO. Tesla has thousands of good people who design, engineer and build the vehicles. Elon doesn't touch them. Don't let the political opinions of one person get into your head and dictate your choice of products to purchase. Henry Ford was an anti-semite. Carlos Ghosn of Nissan is a fugitive and criminal who was smuggled out of Japan in an instrument case. Mary Barra of GM lied about having two dozen EVs long ago. Volkswagen executives lied, cheated and polluted the Earth. Remember Diesel Gate? Toyota has recently been investigated for cheating on emissions controls on industrial engines in the USA. Company CEOs aren't angels. And, everyone's home is filled with items made in China.
