Anyone looking for a very clear and consice video, this is it! I have watched dozens and this is by far the most clear and actually bedrock compatible like it states. If your having trouble just follow his trouble shooting in video because I guarantee it's a simple fix, for example mine wasnt working till I realized I placed a repeater the wrong way and had one overhead block blocking redstone signal. Great video!!

You can also put behind the lever a redstone torch so you can take the lever of the wall when your not In your base

Easy fix if you want it to be hidden without a lever! all you have to do is change the final piece of redstone that connects to the lever trough the wall into a redstone torch, then change the lever into a button. when you press the button it'll open up long enough to walk in and it will shut behind you. PS: awesome tutorial man! Really helped me out in game

Has an update changed how this works? Because I used to be able to use this design no problem. But now the levers on the inside and outside of my door aren’t working properly. The outside closes and shuts it. But the inside will close it back up but won’t open again so I’m trapped in my house. This has never happened before

Correction: know for easy bedrock piston doors. No way I can do a 9x9 straight up piston door, can’t even do 7x7. I know I can do flying machines for anything 7x7 and up, but that would take like a week because flying machines SUCK and I would keep messing something up when building them 👍

@@ScottyO I finished designing the piston doors. I did 8x8 with stacked quad piston extenders, and the 9x9, 10x10, and 12x12 with use of my new tileable flying machine designs. I didn't bother with the 7x7 door though because you could just build a quad piston extender on one side and a triple piston extender on the other.

If you want it always closed and use a lever to OPEN it, then just put a redstone torch next to the repeaters.

Use a "no" switch, basically a redstone torch that gets switched off when the lever is pressed, opening the door

You could use a redstone torch and make it so that when the lever is un activated the door is closed and same with the opposite I am sure you understand what I mean so I shall say no more

To do this you would have to use what is called a T-flip flop. This makes it so when a button is pressed it turns it on and when it is pressed again it turns off. It also works if you hook up multiple buttons.
