I lived in the 90s, I was born in 1971, but I was a new mommy, I didn't pay close attention to the 90s style. I was stuck in the 80s, heck, I still love the 80s style, the big hair, and all. 😂 Thanks Juna, I know I asked a few people to do this 90s style video, but I can't remember if you were one of them....I think you were, though. I always appreciate your content. I am finally getting my stuff uploaded, and it feels great. I am a little slow, but I am getting quicker, everyday. The reason I was asking is, I was thinking a lot of the parents, who buy clothes for their children, would be 90s kids, who are buying for their kids, now. They might buy some of their younger children something that they liked as a child. 🤷 I guess that was my thought process, anyway.

I made a I Love The 90s inspired t-shirt earlier this year and to date it's only had a handful of favourites and no sales. What am I doing wrong? It's similar colours to yours and even has some similar, if not the same, elements.

Copyright can kind of be checked with Google.... but you probably are talking about trademark... and you can check that with USPTO

Great content! This inspired me to make more designs. Do you think 80's and 90's are about the same? If not can you do a video on the 80's? Also how did you change the color of the words to be different from. I usually just do my letters one by one to make the word and change the colors because I never knew I could do that in Canva with the word as one text.

So what is typical time that it takes for most tshirts to start selling? How do you wait before killing off a design? Or changing it?

It can take up to 3 months but if you are low on upload slots on Amazon I would swap things out after 3-4 weeks.

I've been attempting to build a social media following, but I haven't found a KZbin video from a POD designer about how they use Pinterest for promotion. Would you consider making a video? @@DetourShirts Thank you. Lisa Irby posted a KZbin video describing her Pinterest use, and admitted that there is no way to track how helpful Pinterest is in terms of sales. At this point in my POD journey, I am willing to try just about anything to increase my sales and get tiered up.

Affiliate yes but that really doesn't add up to much if anything.....I don't get paid per video or have sponsored videos with Canva.... I'm Just listening to my audience. Some want Canva, some want Kittl and some want Affinity designer. BTW some want more Photopea, some want Illustrator too (which I don't have)..... So I try to do a little bit of everything.... but If there is anything you would like to see specifically in Affinity Designer I'll be happy to add it to the rotation.

@@DetourShirts That's all well and good, but you started with Designer. We're the ones who grew with you. You're trying to be all things to all people and it doesn't work. If people want Canva, there are tons of KZbinrs doing only Canva. So many that I get tired of seeing it. I tell KZbin not to recommend their channels. It's a lazy app for lazy people. Not very bright people too. They're paying monthly instead of learning a real software and paying once. Instead of rewarding their laziness, you could be teaching them how to use Designer instead. Kittel has a lot too. There aren't many doing Designer. Now with you hardly ever touching Designer anymore, there's one less.

Really? I see shirts, all the time, with controllers like that, on them. I know you can't use one that has the official name on it, but I didn't know you couldn't use them if they sort of looked like one. Thanks, for the info. I have been wondering about it. I was thinking the same thing with the other recent video he showed about Halloween costumes...people are making ketchup and mustard shirts, using the Heinz logo, I mean it looks exactly like the logo, and someone made a banana shirt, using the Chiquita banana logo.

@@MissMolly3377 Well what others do is there choice. Personally i wouldn't make one with that controller i'd just use a different one what doesn't look like a top brand device. And for those ketchup and banana logo looking designs is a big Risk to do as none of them are safe.
