This is hard to follow for several reasons. 1. The thread is too light against the background you have it on. 2. Your fingers are too large or the camera is too close and all can see are fingers and not how knots are tied. 3. Far as I know the way thus is started with the 3 strands separate like that is very different and if there is merit to it or it matters to the pattern, tell us. Explanations are helpful. It's too bad because it's exactly what I needed and found after long search and couldn't even get one knot tied. I'm not a beginner either.

For a beginner tutorial, starting off with two different colors to tell apart would have been useful for teaching. And same here.

Your first knot that connects the Theo middle is most likely a square knot. 2 alternating half knots on the two right strings. 2 alternating half knots on the two left strings. 1 alternating knot on the the two middle strings. Repeat

But.. the first knot you made that you put under the clip you didn’t show us how to make.. at first you just put the thread under the clip and then suddenly there is a knot there.

I wish this video had explanations with it. I love this pattern.

Hi Debbie, I think this is the same pattern. It's a little easier to follow. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGKrqqmloZysp6c

I don't know what the comments say, but for me that was helpful. I struggled a bit at first, and instructions could be a little more clear. But it wasn't as a bad as y'all depicted it, haha. Take your time and experiment! You can always untie knots that you did wrong and re-try them.

There were no instructions 🤷♀️

It’s supposed to be a beginner tutorial. The knots aren’t even explained.

Your not showing the whole pic, like the top where you start.

Pretty pattern, but can’t follow your movements. You are too fast and it would be helpful if you point out: do this knot here two times then switch sides then….. Also a plain color for the back ground too. If changes are made then I will subscribe.

Too bad you do not explain, this is not easy to follow at all the knots you are doing as a beginner.

Hard to watch and see--- you have another background that you can use?

Anyone know of any tutorials that explain how to do it while they're showing you??? All I can find are videos of people recording themselves making them but don't explain anything! I'm looking for an actual tutorial. If you know of any, please post the links! Thanks so much!

try the Macrame School channel. There’s no commentary, but the moves are very clearly shown.

These are great but with the patterned background so close to the thread colors, and you knotting so quickly, it's hard to tell what you're doing.

Should it really be 2 threads of 160cm each???seems a bit long....

Not good at all , the color of thread and background is very important which you didn't pay attention to

It’s pissing me off how all these videos aren’t showing every step. In the beginning after clipping it to the clipboard it skips to him already having it knotted but doesn’t show how he tied the knot. Pointless
@mamaxantia Жыл бұрын
It’s not ‘easy’ when you don’t show / explain all of the steps. 😢 right at the beginning you seem to have tied some kind of knots into the 55cm thread. But without knowing what I’m supposed to do, how can I even start much less follow along? Beginner; as in new to this. Tutorial; as in teaching and explaining every step. 🤷♀️
