Easy Black Pepper Prawn / Udang Masak Lada Hitam.
I am back with another easy recipe. Happy cooking !
Ingredients
Marinate with :
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sweet sauce
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp garlic
black pepper
white pepper
Other ingredients
350g - 400g prawn / shrimp
1 onion
3 bird's eye chilies, optional and 3 dried chilies
spring onion (separate the white part and green part)
1/4 tbsp dark caramel / dark soy sauce
sweet soy sauce to replace salt (pls adjust accordingly)
2 types of bell pepper
1 tbsp black pepper powder
corn flour mixture
some onion slices for garnishing
Method
Marinate prawns shrimp with ingredients and keep aside for 30mins. Heat pan with oil. Add onion and sauté for 1-2 mins. Add spring onion (white parts), chilies and marinated prawns / shrimp into pan. Mix gently. Add dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, black pepper and bell peppers. Mix well using low heat. Add corn flour mixture to thicken the gravy slightly. Mix well. Off the flame and garnish with spring onion (green parts and slices of onion)
