Easy apple pie recipe.
Ingredients:
•5 apples
•1/2 lemon juice
•3 eggs
•A pinch of salt
•1 cup of sugar
•6 tablespoons of sour cream
•30g butter
•1.5 cups of flour
•A dash of turmeric
•Zest from 1 lemon
•1 packet of baking powder
Peel the apples and remove the cores.
You can grate the apples into thin slices
Or you can slice them thinly with a knife.
Drizzle them with lemon juice to prevent oxidation.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with sugar and a pinch of salt using a mixer until the mixture becomes frothy and pale.
Add the sour cream and the melted butter.
Add the turmeric and the zest of one lemon.
Continue mixing.
Gradually add the flour then the baking powder.
Gently mix with a spatula until you get a smooth batter.
Incorporate the sliced apples into the batter, mixing gently.
Pour the batter into a cake pan, greased with butter beforehand.
Smooth the top.
Place the cake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 50 minutes, or until it passes the toothpick test (the toothpick should come out clean).
Let the cake cool slightly in the pan.
You can serve it plain or dusted with sugar.
