Assalamoualaikoum.I hv bn studying Arabic language on line when I came across yr courses. Yr courses hv helped me as well. I hv got a book namely 'A new Arabic grammar by IA Haywood/HM Nahmad' where I learnt that the possessive pronoun becomes 'ya with fatha' instead of 'eee sound, ya with kasra' after an unvowelled alif, waw and ya. So my world will be dounyayah i/o dounyayi and 'to me' will be ilaiya as you said. I don't know if I hv explained it well. May ALLAH SWT make it easy for us all Ameen.

May Allah be pleased with you. Lets first deal with Harf... Harf is going to become more complicated when we reach Light Harf and Lightest Harf 😊 So first, we got to worry about that 😄 Also, surprisingly, the longer surah with longer ayaat generally have easier grammar and also easier vocabulary. Reason is, the shorter surah are more eloquent which are supposed to mesmerise the listeners... While longer surah are generally command and history of the past nations.

Salaam. So The lam ل when used as preposition or genitive particle is written with kasrah i.e. as لِ li except in following cases where it is written with fathah i.e. as لَ la With attached pronouns it is written لَ la except with with 1st person singular ى which it is written لِ li لِى لَنَا لَكَ لَكِ لَكُمَا لَكُمْ لَكُنَّ لَهُ لَهَا لَهُمَا لَهُمْ لَهُنَّ

Yes I noticed this as well. The ل chart is not accurate. It needs to be with fatha not kasra except when it’s ‘for me’
