Easy Badam Halwa Recipe | Navratri Vrat Recipe | best Badam Ka Halwa | How To Make Almond Halwa
A perfect recipe for the festival.

Take 1/2 cup of badam in a bowl. Pour boiling hot water into this and let it soak for 30 mins. After 30 mins, peel all the almonds. add all these peeled almonds in a mixie grinder. Just grind in pulse mode in this way 2-3 times. Now add 1/4 cup of sugar. You can add more sugar if you want more sweetness. Again close the lid and grind in the pulse option. Open and mix using a spoon. Now take 1/3 cup of milk and add in batches little by little and grind on pulse mode. Do check the video to see the consistency!! It shouldn't be too fine it should be a little coarse. Now, take few saffron strands and soak in 1 tbsp warm milk. Mix and keep aside. Take a heavy pan and heat it. Keep it on low flame throughout cooking. Add 2 tbsp of ghee and then add almond paste which we have prepared. Fry it for 5 mins until the raw smell goes off.
After ghee is absorbed, add the soaked saffron milk and stir it so that it is mixed properly with the paste. Add 1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder for flavor. Give it a good mix. In some time halwa will thicken and color will darken as well. After it thickens, add 1 1/2 tbsp of ghee in batches little by little and stir it until ghee releases from the pan. You can add more ghee if you want for the right consistency but always add ghee in batches. The important tip for this recipe is that we need to keep on stirring continuously otherwise the bottom part will be burnt and taste may vary.
Once the ghee starts to release from the sides. At this stage, saute the halwa for 2 more mins. Then it will form a big lump. This is the stage to switch off the stove. Badam Halwa is ready, Immediately transfer into a bowl or plate. Otherwise, it will get overcooked. Serve badam halwa hot and garnish you can add nuts of your choice.
