Great project. I like how fixed the back in the end it looks great. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

Yes the back rest turned out ok.. I’ll wrap my head round the weight loss I’ve been putting it off for far too long 🤣👌

Beautiful take on the Leopold Bench! It’s gorgeous! 👏 I made one with pallet wood, it was a prototype to see if the angles worked out, and I didn’t glue it. I just brad nailed it. I told my daughter she could use it for her potted plants but as soon as she put one on the bench fell apart! 😐 Definitely going with thicker board, glue and screws next time! 😆 Hope Shelley gets to feeling better soon, and postmen and delivery people beware of Stanley! 🤣👍🤘

Dori main thing is you had a go at it and you now know from your build how to do it. It don’t matter if it fell apart I bet you had total fun making it and that’s what it’s all about ❤️ Shelley is getting better I think there has been a touch of flu about.. 👌

You’re absolutely right- it was fun to make! Oh- and to let you know- everyone knows red socks and/or red shoes are magical! 👍🌟

Liking the chair. Based on your other pieces, I would have made the 3 circles, one on center and the other 2 off to one side or the other. Much like you did on your previous piece. Just my tuppence worth.

Yes I was in two minds to do that 👌

Great looking bench especially with your signature style. I think using the rasp to round off the top was a good touch. It gives it more of a hand worked feel to the project. I'll have to look into that rasp. It looks very useful.

Yes get the rasp it’s really good.. I got mine on amazon 👌

Love it Billy,I'd need a cushion with my bony ass lol,speaking of which 10 year ago I was 15 stone I'm now 10 stone,I still eat all the normal working man's grub I've just stopped drinking and cut out the cakes and biscuits every night for my supper
@thewoodjunki19 күн бұрын
That’s the good thing about these chairs.. you can make them any size.. add cushions etc. I’ll get there with the weight loss 🤣

I love the chair. Probably a little too hard for me at the moment because of the angles. But maybe one day. Good luck with the weight loss. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼As I’ve mentioned before, I lost some weight recently and the best advice I can offer is, don’t expect too much too soon. Little by little. I’ll be watching with interest.
@thewoodjunki19 күн бұрын
Yes I’m gonna take the weight loss slowly and just ease my way of thinking into it. The chair is only 1 angle but it confused me the orientation of it, when you can have a go .. you will surprise yourself 👌

@@thewoodjunki thank you. Maybe I’ll give it a go. If nothing else, just to prove myself wrong 🤣

Does the glue work on pre stained wood? I always thought it didn’t. Love your videos as I’m a beginner woodworker myself 😊Cheers Billy
@thewoodjunki19 күн бұрын
I only used it to keep it in place, I’m not sure to be honest but I think it depends on the type of stain. This is spirit based and when it went off it was solid.

Do the 3 holes serve a purpose other than esthetics?
