I enjoyed how Lee's mug became a half-mug, in keeping with "you've only got time for half a cup of coffee" and then grew to full size when he picked it up at the end. Some brilliant subtle editing as usual.

Lee plays tasty licks fot almost 10 years on youtube. Justin made him use and connect them properly and overal impression is enormous just by that :-O

Genuine question , is lee getting lessons from justin? I always see people compliment lee's playing getting better over time, did he only pick it up a few years ago? I know he played bass and such

llama shockz He has played for ages but it seems now he has gotten better at looking at his playing as a whole and not a sum of it parts

Tito, exactly. One thing is physical ability to play guitar (hit correct notes, bends etc), the other thing is play right notes at right time to create music. Lee is getting way better at creating music.

I have to say, I absolutely loved this! Each time you both pick up a guitar to test you often play the same riffs - not as each other, but the same for each guitar - if you see what I mean, I would love to see you break those riffs down like you did your blues riffs in this video.

Yes! Thank you for the licks and choosing not to use single coils as most would have. I so love it when players show the soulful side of double coils. cheers. You both come from such a different place in your approach to playing and licks that there is something here for everyone. cheers.

Nice to see Lee and how he compensates, playing to his strengths.... What he may lack in speed, he more than makes up for with his subtle nuances. It's like adding a little bit of a special spice to a sauce to kick things up a notch. Well played, Lee. I know Chappers is showing us how to play his lick.... I just couldn't help but notice that then end of his lick ends up looking the he's flipping everyone the bird, a big FU! LOL, Rob's too nice a guy to really mean that.

I absolutely loved this, especially Lee's economical and incredibly melodic lick. Melodically, and in terms of how getting the most out of a few notes, it put me of something George Harrison was doing on the 'George Harrison' album (1979). Would love to see more of these - from the whole Anderton's Team (bet Pete H. could contribute some good ones - just make sure he keeps them short!). Rob's lick was nicely melodic, too.

Years later, I think I have the correct frets/notes for the first lick: G5, G7, B5, G5, D7, D7. Then D6, D5, D4, G5 slide to G7. Then D5, D4, D3, G4 slide to G5.

Aw Lee, bless him he really has no idea of just how good he is! Chappers is an epic guitar player & way better than I'll ever be, but the lick he played had no soul & seemed rushed whereas Lee's was full of soul & feeling. Maybe I just get where lee is coming from regarding the "less is more" theory & the fact that I don't religiously practice either, to tell the truth I couldn't name a single note on the fretboard besides the "open" notes but providing you have a good ear & are happy just playing for yourself you don't need to.

Lee. Since last Xmas when you hit that wicked clean lick on that sweet backing track I must say, you have major good tone and control. That was for some reason the gotta hear Captain Lee tone. Please do an entire special like that to celebrate you. A great show and store though I'll never get there from Ga USA...I'd go in a heartbeat and jam with you on drums or keys or guitar. Lol. Kick ass methods you use. So clean. Peace.

Well that was awesome. Cap, but dang Cap. I just love the way you play and your philosophy on doing so. You've got blues in your blood brother! Chap's was fantastic too, but he's also a professional musician. And, no offense intended to Rob AT ALL, but I prefer Cap's natural tremolo thing that he's always had going. Great video to all parties involved and I hope to see similar in the future. I really enjoyed that.
