My wife & I have a monthly budget that we check every day so, effectively, it's a daily budget. But I create a new workbook each year, with a final sheet for yearly tallies. We've eliminated a lot of waste by simply having a monthly budget max and it becomes a kind of a game to not go over. Straight up? If you don't keep track of what you spend, you'll likely not be very successful. *So, LISTEN TO OUR CYBORG QUEEN!*

This video is important! I've watched a lot of videos on budgeting(it was my new year's resolution) and this is the best! Other budget "tips" just tell you how much to set aside and how much to save up, they basically assume you make a considerable amount and that you know anything at all. What about broke college students who have no idea what they are doing?! I like this system because you're teaching me how to do it myself, how to personalize it and make it fit my situation. Thank you for this!

A great (if a little basic) start to keep track of your finances. I would have however added the default conditional formatting on the savings line. If i'm not mistaken there's a pretty good one that changes from green to red depending on how far above or below you are compared to your set budget. But like I said, it's better than nothing and most people don't even keep track of their finances, even though they should. If I have time I might create a more detailed spreadsheet in Google Drive for people to copy and use. If I have time and my boss leaves me alone... Might as well write a bestseller and quit my job.

Jenna, I have been a professional writer for 15yrs and a full-time one for 9. I do my own tax returns (can't afford an accountant) and I have been doing all of my own adding up, literally by hand, with a pencil and a calculator, on a running monthly basis (Incomings, Outgoings, etc.) and then adding up all the totals at the end of each tax year. I have dyscalculia and frankly, doing this is one of the absolute WORST BITS of my job. And now... I NEVER HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN OMG *Chorus of heavenly angels*

Hey Jenna, I know I'm not a patreon, and I doubt you'll ever read this, but, could you do a video on how to write mythical beasts in your story? Like, how to include them in a way that seems natural, as if we were writing about a normal animal, like a tiger. i haven't seen any videos like this, and I don't know if you have any experience, but if you do, could you please make a video on it? I really want to include mythical creatures in my story, and I like the way you explain this. Like so Jenna can see this!
