Really like this visual retention. Superb. Coincidentally I have been working on this move a bit. I learned it from Sean Devine's channel a while back. He has at least 2 videos that explain it. One video is from 8 months ago and the other one titled " unique card controls part 2" from 3 months ago. Really like this one! 😊

Love the move, been having lot of fun since yesterday. I have been experimenting with lifting the bottom packet to the sidejogged selection facing the spectator before doing the switch in a downward motion with both hands. Might be something there. Thanks a lot.

... maybe just a slight tilt from the left(bottom) wrist, to connect a bit earlier, and then steal the random card towards the left, justifying the motion by dropping the first packet a bit to your left on the table.

Nah mate, it is much older than that. It has been used in one way or another since, I think(my memory isn't to good in remembering exactly which old book I've seen it in but I have seen this concept and variations of it, in a few older books, at least the 1940s?). Perhaps Ollie thought of it independently or simply added another variation to the list.
