"Easy" Checkmate In 2 Moves Puzzle BUT Can You Solve Them All?

Hello guys and welcome back to another video. This time I wanted to try something a little different, to give you a break from all of those endgames studies and to show you some cool and tricky checkmate in 2 puzzles. I would show you 5 puzzles, where the difficult would increase from puzzle to puzzle. Even if those are an only 2 moves checkmate, I am sure it would teach you some very valuable concept, that would help you improve your game. So let’s see if you could solve all of them without my help.
I hope you enjoyed those 2 moves checkmate and learned something valuable from it. In your endgames you may encounter a lot of different scenarios and you must be prepared for all of them. Maybe it’s an under promotion to a knight, maybe you need to put your opponent in a Zugzwang, either way, you need to take a few moment and think of all possible threats that you have. Solved all five, and almost instantly for all but the 3rd one. The fifth one I thought was actually kind of obvious, because my eye was drawn immediately to the pawn push. I think you're right though, that I likely wouldn't have seen it in an actual game. Probably be too focused on getting another queen or something.

@@JubiKnight that is the main difference between puzzles and real games. In a puzzle you know there is a solution so you are looking for it

Only the first one took me long time. Mating move brings the piece where it started. I have a big blindspot with making short consecutive moves with highly mobile long range pieces.

I managed to solve all of them in less than 5 sec each, but I doubt I would do the same in a real game (especially at blitz). Knowing it is a checkmate in 2 makes it easy. Usually I am good finding mates in 2 but I struggle in mate in 3 or more.

I got all 5 cuz i am working on my puzzles/tatics rn but it's pretty hard to figure it out in a real match but my thinking has gotten a bit better,thanks :0

With daily practice you can find them in your games as well.

I didn't quite get the last one, cuz somehow I was focused on the fact that Re3 stops all black checks and I was desperately looking for some kind of incredible Zugzwang there xD. I also missed the first one even though I saw the Zugzwang idea, but for some reason, I thought Qf5 was a stalemate, so I was looking for a Zugzwang where the knight has to move away and thus couldn't find anything. I was able to catch the other ones in 2sec max tho

I solved 5 almost immediatelly :) But its because i knew it was checkmate in 2 moves as u said 4 was easy too
