I made this tonight for dinner and it was amazing. I made it exactly like the recipe except I didn't make homemade cream of chicken and used store bought. I also used rotisserie chicken. It cooked for exactly 45 minutes for me too. It was absolutely delicious. For sure the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. And my husband loved it. Thank you so much!!! I can't wait to try your other recipes!

Hi Courtney, I gotta tell you what I did with this recipe. I made the homemade cream of chicken soup, added the chicken broth, then added the sauce from the barbecue chicken sliders recipe, without the Sweet Baby Ray's of course, and poured all that over my boneless skinless chicken breasts in my slow cooker and cooked them on high for 3 hours. In the meantime, I simmered some fresh green beans, fresh carrots, fresh potatoes and frozen lima beans with a ham bone for almost an hour. When the chicken was ready, I shredded it with two forks, mixed it back in with the sauce in the slow cooker, made the crust as directed and baked the pie like you said. I am a freaking star now with my family and friends, and I've been sure to tell everyone it's a combo of two COURTNEY BUDZYN recipes, so you are definitely the superstar! If I did any kind of Instagram or SnapChat, I'd tag you, but I'm just throwing this out there for all us who love you! (BTW, my husband, my boss and two of my co-workers beg for the Barbecue Chicken Sliders every week!)

Hey Courtney! I tried this recepie... it was great! I've never made anything like it before but it turned out perfecto! I tried to follow the recepie word for word but I noticed in the ingredients it's written "1/2 Chicken broth" under Cream of chicken ingredients... I wasn't sure if you mean cup or litre so I just kept adding till I got a soup consistency lol thank you so much for sharing!!

Yayy that's great to hear! Sorry about that! I just changed it. It is cup lol. Thank you for letting me know. I'm glad it turned out for you without the proper measurement lol.

thanks :D btw i can use normal vegetables instead of frozen ones, right?
@WhatsForDin8 жыл бұрын
+Aaron Ryder Depends which ones you use. For example, fresh carrots will not cook all the way in the 45 minutes. They will be crunchy. If you'd prefer using fresh I would suggest maybe steaming the veggies until they are just about done and draining them well. Then you can add them to the pie and go from there. That way you don't have any crunchy suprises lol

Hey Courtney guess what? yesterday I recreated your Chicken pie and triple chocolate cheesecake. The pie was very very delicious. My wife ate more than what i ate and the cheesecake... i messed it up a bit. the taste was good but it just wouldn't come out of the pan till the end. So we had to scope the top and eat it lol. Thank you very much. :)
@WhatsForDin8 жыл бұрын
+Aaron Ryder I'm so glad she loved the chicken pie! I'm so sorry your cheesecake wouldn't come out. You're not the first one who had trouble getting it out of the pan. I'm considering refilming that one to explain it better. It was one of my first videos so I didn't explain very well lol. Sorry fot that. I hope you had a great weekend though! Thank you for sharing!
@aaronryder40088 жыл бұрын
It was the best!! And don't worry about it. In my opinion You don't really have to refilm it You can add in a small note in the description instead Would save a lot of time. Looking forward for more recipes from you :)

in europe we call your "homemade chicken soup" "beshamel sauce" and has nothing to do with soup ; )
@WhatsForDin8 жыл бұрын
+Darko Jovanovic That would be the proper terms you're right lol. Technically it's a combination of a bechamel and veloute because of the chicken broth. The best sauce in the world! 😊
